The green industry has exploded into a multi-billion dollar phenomenon. No company wants to risk that their brand become associated with pollution, dangerous materials, wastefulness, or overall bad energy practices.
Businesses today are eager make themselves look more environmentally friendly than they really are by using words like “green,” “natural,” and “organic.” This practice of “greenwashing” does not always go un-noticed and could lead to claims of fraud, unfair competition, breach of contract, and customer backlash. Protect your company and your markets to ensure claims of greenwashing do not confuse or mislead your consumers. We’ll discuss the consequences of greenwashing, enforcement options, tips for developing environmentally-friendly branding programs, and strategies for creating new trademarks.
The students buried jars in the ground as bug traps to see what insects they could find. They were successful and caught worms, spiders, millipedes, springtails, and ants. The students also did leaf and bark rubbings for a class display tree and used a leaf book to identify trees in the schoolyard. On Fridays, the students wrote poems and did crafts about insects and bugs that could be found in the bush.
The document discusses server virtualization technologies and performance testing best practices. It provides details on:
1) The anatomy of a virtual system including hardware virtualization, type 1 and type 2 hypervisors, and allocating VM resources.
2) Key factors for performance testers including modeling virtual workloads, identifying bottlenecks, and effective testing techniques.
3) A case study where a company consolidated 18 servers onto 3 virtual hosts, reduced costs, and performance testing showed maintained or improved performance.
This document outlines a study examining how geography, agglomeration, and distance impact knowledge spillovers and innovative activities. It discusses relevant economic theories on how knowledge spillovers drive increasing returns and how their localization may impact convergence. The study aims to establish a direct link between these factors using a regional innovation dataset and spatial econometric models. It provides context on debates around defining and identifying spillovers as well as challenges in separating pure vs. pecuniary externalities.

Today there is an ever-increasing pressure to get more out of the marketing, communications and research budgets. This demand is compounded by the need to reduce the time it takes to collect feedback, capture insights and discover new knowledge! Now more than ever, we need affordable access to quality online tools that are able to deliver actionable insights at a fraction of the cost of traditional face-to-face methods.

This document discusses using transition dynamics and Markov chains to analyze regional economic convergence and divergence. It aims to use information on movements within the income distribution to examine determinants of regional growth. Specifically, it seeks to link the probability of transitions between different income classes to determinants of development, going beyond standard growth regressions. The authors introduce a multinomial logistic regression model to estimate transition probabilities and make them destination-specific while controlling for different factors in different development stages. The results could provide insights into why some regions transition between classes while others do not.
WHY ARE THERE INCREASED RATES OF HIV/AIDS IN AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN WHO USE B...rnice725
This document analyzes how historical medical conspiracies and abuse have led to increased HIV/AIDS rates in African American women using birth control. It discusses how medical experiments without consent on slaves and efforts to curb the black population through birth control promoted distrust in healthcare. Certain birth controls can increase HIV risk through side effects like bleeding and immune suppression. Lack of education on risks and follow-up care when side effects occur further endangers women. Addressing medical racism and improving access to community-based care and education are needed.
Children from four different schools collaborated to write a story about going on a hot air balloon ride and helping a kangaroo find her lost baby joey. They take the hot air balloon across the Australian bush, drop lost posters, and receive a call that the joey has been found by a bushman. They fly the hot air balloon to retrieve the joey, reunite it with its mother, and return home after their exciting adventure.
This document provides an overview of a 6th grade geography webquest on water and air topics. The webquest includes 5 topics that students complete assignments on, including the water cycle, geographic distribution of water, water and people, and the air we breathe. Students use websites, videos, diagrams, maps and textbooks to complete activities like creating semantic maps, flashcards, drawings and answering questions. The goal is for students to learn difficult vocabulary and concepts in an engaging, technology-based way.
