To Whom It May Concern:
My Mother, at age 86 was forced to leave her home and move to a Seniors home in Decem of 2012 due
to failing health and mind.
It was an extremely difficult transition for all of us. We chose Nanaimo Seniors Village because of the
exceptional one on one guidance we received from the Assisted Living Manager. Tracy Cartwright
walked us through the whole process, from what we were faced with when moving her to the facility to
what steps we would need to take in the future. As the Health Authority process had been very difficult
to navigate to this point, we were pleasantly surprized at how knowledgable and helpful Tracy was.
This removed much stress and allowed us to focus on settling Mom.
As my Mother deteriorated and we again had to make decisions, Tracy and her team lead us through
the process which resulted in a smooth transition to full care for my Mother.
I beleive the wonderful care my mother received was a direct reflection of how the staff respected
Tracy and how she created and lead a cohesive and productive team. Tracy's job in dealing with my
Mom was complicated by some difficult dynamics within my own family. Tracy treated all of us fairly
and with complete professionalism and always managed to resolve any issues to again provide the best
care for my Mom.
During my Mother's stay at NSV, Tracy was a vital part to her successful transition in each stage of her
senior life. We enstrusted Tracy and her team with all aspects of my Mom's care and they never let us
down.
I am so sad to see that Tracy is leaving NSV. Her absence on the floor is being felt by both the team
and the residents.
Tracy, I wish you well in your future, and again thank you for all you did for us.
Sincerely
Maureen Pollock
