Juan María de la Mennais was born in 1780 in Sain Malo, France. He was ordained as a priest in 1805 and later became the Bishop of Sant-Brieuc in 1815. In 1819, he founded the Institute of the Brothers of Christian Instruction along with Gabriel Deshaves. By the end of his life, the order had grown to 852 brothers running 349 schools, as Juan María worked to establish education for all people. He died in 1860.

2. JUAN MARIA´S LIFE
● Juan María de la Mennais borned of October of
1780 in Sain Malo.
● His father who is shipower in some times,
when the food has been missing he chart ships
to the zones shorted, selling the products more
cheaper than in the zone.
● He was ordenated priest the 25 of february in
Rennes.

3. ·In 1815 Juan María de la Mennais was
ordenated bishop of Sant-Brieuc.
·In 1819 with the priest Gabriel Deshaves begin
the:”Instituto de los hermanos de la Institución
Crisitiana”.
·In november of that year another bishop was
ordenated in Saint-Brieuc, so Jan Maria accepted
the job of vicar of Paris.

4. ·He teach to people because he was a great
person, at the end of his life he had 852 brothers
and 349 schools.
·Juan Maria dead the 26 of december of 1860.
