Doctrinal Statement
Theology Proper
I believe in God of the Bible who created the Heavens and the earth and everything else
(Genesis 1-2). He is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29), but he in three person which
forms the Trinity (Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 3:16-17). The Trinity is unified in God the
Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father cannot be the Son, the Son cannot be
the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit cannot be the Father; however, all of them are the one true
God. God is Holy, which means He cannot stand the sight of sin (I Peter 1:5). God is infinite,
which we cannot fully explain of who He is (Psalm 90:2). He is alive today and is the rightful
judge over the Earth (James 2:1). God is all loving (I John 4:8). He is the One True God in
Heaven (John 14:6). God is exists yesterday, today and forever beyond all eternity (Revelation
19:6). And today God is sitting on His throne in control over all of creation (Hebrews 1:3).
Bibliology
I believe that the Bible is the rightly inspired word of Truth. I believe the Bible is
revealed to us in three different ways. First through interpretation (II Peter 1:20), second the
Bible is the inspired Word of God (II Timothy 3:16), lastly it’s authoritative (I Corinthians 2:10).
God’s authority is found by His spoken word to His people from 40 different authors in the time
span of more than 1000 years (Joshua 24:26 and Isaiah 30:8).
Christology
I believe that Christ was there in the beginning with God the Father (John 1:1-2, 14).
Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God (Luke 2:52. John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8). He was born of a
virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:35). Christ came down, voluntarily denied some of His attributes and
humbled Himself (Philippians 2:7-8). Christ is without sin (I Peter 2:22). Christ is our High
Priest (Hebrews 7). He came to sacrifice for us for our sins (John 3:16-17), and after three days
rose again from the dead (Matthew 28:1-10). Now Christ is now seated at the right hand of the
Father (Romans 8:34), and is now our advocate to God the Father (I John 2:1-2).
Pneumatology
Holy Spirit intercedes for us (John 14:15-17). Before Salvation, the Holy Spirit sanctifies
us (I Peter 1:7), and convicts us (John 16:8). At Salvation, the Holy Spirit regenerates us (John
3:16), indwells us (I Corinthians 6:19), baptizes us (I Corinthians 12:13), He seals us (Ephesians
4:30), guarantees our salvation (Ephesians 1:14), and gives us Spiritual Gifts (I Corinthians
12:11). After Salvation, the Holy Spirit equips us (Acts 2:4), teaches us (John 16:12-15), guides
us (Romans 8:14), assures us (Romans 8:16), and prays for us (Romans 8:26).
Angelology and Demonology
3. Stoffregen 2
I believe in Angels and Demons/Devil, the elected angels and ones that rebelled against
God (Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:16-18). One third of the angels followed Satan and was cast
down to the earth (Revelation 12:4). The elected angels are with God and Satan’s demons are
casted into the Lake of fire in the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ (Revelation 20:10). They
are in constant warfare against the believers and against God’s kingdom (Ephesians 6:12). Satan
domains over the earth and seeks to tear down God’s plan for the believer (I Peter 5:8).
Anthropology
Anthropology is the study of man. Man is made in the image of God, and not by random
chance (Genesis1:26-27). God personally formed us and made us into relational beings (Genesis
1-2). Man has a body and soul (I Corinthians 15:51-55). Man rebelled against God and now sin
due to Adams fall (Genesis 3).
Hamartiology
Sin is the result of rebelling against God (Genesis 3, Ezekiel 28:16-18). Sin is the result
of death, which can be both physical and spiritual death (Genesis 2:17). Physical death is the
result of sin (I Corinthians 15:56). The spiritual death is for all of eternity (Ephesians 2:1-3). No
one can get to God if they are in sin (Romans 3:23). Everyone sins, even a believer sins (Romans
5:12). Through one man, sin came into the world (Romans 5:19). The result of sin also means we
are destined to Hell (Matthew 10:28, John 3:36). Hell is a place of eternal torment for Satan’s
demons, and for those that don’t believe in Christ (Revelation 21:8, Matthew 25:46).
Soteriology
God sent his Son to die for those who believe (John 3:16-17). His sacrifice atone for us in
our place (I Peter 2:24). God unconditionally elects those who will be saved before the
foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4-5, John 10:24-30). God doesn’t give us the basis for his
election, but he does elect (Romans 9:20). Jesus has adopted us to God’s kingdom (Ephesians
1:5). We are called to repentance (Romans 8:29). At Salvation, we are called out into His
salvation plan (Romans 8:30). This salvation is Grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone
(Ephesians 2:8-9). After salvation, we are rightly standing before God (Romans 8:30). When we
pass to heaven we are glorified (Romans 8:30).
Ecclesiology
The church is made up in both the universal and local church. I believe the local church
are to be in prayer, breaking of bread together, in teaching others and to be in fellowship with
one another (Acts 2:42). I believe in plurality of leadership in the local church (I Timothy 3: 1-
13, Titus 1:8-16). I believe we are to be unified as one body in Christ (Acts 14). I believe in
4. Stoffregen 3
believers’ baptism and the Lords supper (Romans 6). I believe in the Priesthood of all believers
in the universal church (I Peter 2). I believe in different roles for men and women in the local
body (I Timothy 2). I believe it is our duty to do missions and evangelism (Matthew 28).
Discipleship is crucial to teach and make the local and the universal body strong (Matthew
28:18-20).
Eschatology
I believe that God will execute his plan for all of the people of this earth. Christ will
return sometime in the future (Revelation 16:14-16). Christ will gather up his believers before
the tribulation (I Thessalonians 4:15-16). During the tribulation God will bring down His wrath
on the earth with plagues, and other global catastrophes (Revelation 15-16). After the tribulation
there will be judgment and the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ (Revelation 20:1-6).
After the tribulation, there will be the Feast of the Lamb and people of the Old and New
Testament and those that were martyred during the tribulation will participate in this (Revelation
19). After the 1000 year reign of Christ, Satan rebels again God’s kingdom and tries to
overthrow Christ, but fails (Revelation 20:7-10). After everything, we will enter an eternal
community with God (Revelation 21-22).

Philosophy of Ministry
Summary:
My vision is to train up and disciple new leaders within the church body and the
community, to counsel the hurt within the community, to network with other leaders to advance
the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and in teaching the Word of God. The following is how I will
accomplish this;
Training Disciples:
One of the crucial elements for the church is to make disciple which will make other
disciples. A mentor will then disciple them, teach them, and keep them accountable. These
disciples then will then serve the church community. They may be serving by teaching to
stacking chairs after church. Outside of the church these disciples are to be a light in their
community, striving to teach the gospel to their peers, and to train up even more leaders.
Pastoral counseling:
We have hurts that affect everyone’s lives. I believe that counseling and mentoring one
another is such a crucial concept that needs to be addressed to any individual. Whether you are a
believer or not, counseling should be a place where you feel safe, not judged, to receive Grace
and to tell them the Truth.
Prayer:
Communication to God is crucial to any ministry. Prayer should be done in ministry
because we are to be stewards of what God has given us. Prayer is the asking for thankfulness for
providing a ministry to minster to other. Prayer also communicates other ways such as formal
prayer, personal prayer, worship, giving thanks to God, and prayer that communicates trust to the
God of the universe. Instead of giving all of the glory to oneself, one should be giving the glory
to God.
Personalized Evangelism:
I believe that the church is supposed to reach out to the community instead of doing
nothing. We are to make disciples and baptize them and teach all that the Bible says. Whether it
is personal evangelism or community outreach we are to proclaim the name of Christ to
everyone we meet. We are to be a light to our community while we walk we are to communicate
the Gospel. If the person rejects the Gospel, we are to pray for them but we need to continue on
and preach the gospel to others. If they return and want to listen then we will preach the Gospel
to them.
Networking:
6. Stoffregen 5
I believe that the church in general should be unified to pursue one thing, to preach the
Gospel to teens and to their families that don’t believe. This doesn’t mean that we should
combine denominations because there will be believers that will disagree on certain doctrines.
However, we are to work together as a body of believers for the better of the community; it is a
time for the community of believers of all backgrounds to come together and partner, support,
and collaborate in preaching of the Gospel. It is a time to give resources, encouragement,
accountability, and prayer for one another. The New Testament church came together and was
unified in their community, and I believe that the church today in any town or region can come
together to preach the gospel with a team effort.
Purpose Driven events:
There are times that you can do events that are fun and to have a purpose behind it. For
example, you may go paintballing and have fun with the teens yet after the event you come
together and talk of spiritual warfare. These events is a time to have fun, to be in community, and
to wrestle with strategy that they may need to go through yet to give a lesson behind it.
Campus Ministry:
On average a youth worker may only be with teens only for 5 hours a week. This ministry
will increase chances to make an impact teens at a local school while supporting the school
system in what they are struggling with. Campus Ministry may consist of lunch duty, tutoring,
recess duty, and if possible substitute teach.
Family Ministry:
The church is not immune to broken homes, so this ministry is to encourage, disciple, and
communicate with families with youth. The duty of the youth pastor is not to tell parents how to
be better parent, but to be an advocate for parents. Some students may not have believing parents
so it’s the duty of the youth leader to develop a relationship to the parents and help the student to
find a spiritual family.
The Power of Uniqueness
1) Motivated Abilities
7. Stoffregen 6
I am motivated by the following categories. I learn by asking how the work should be
done. I can’t just do it if I don’t know what I’m doing, therefore I have to ask. I evaluate by
whether or not the problem is worth it for me. I can’t just go into action with any precaution
of whether or not it’s worth the time or trouble. I prepare by practicing the material. I
practice what I learn and then apply it to my own life. I achieve my goals by actually doing it
myself. After acknowledging the material and goals that are set before me, I accomplish the
task ahead of me. I influence others by counseling. If someone has a problem or they just
want to talk, I am always there to listen.
2) Motivating Subject Matter
My working style is working in groups and doing it together with some sort of hands on
activity and setting out a plan with all the experts on a certain project. I do have goals in mind,
but some of these goals I just cannot do them by myself. I have to have a group together and
work with me on projects that need attention. Along with that, I will not be the guy that will
stand by and give orders; I want to work with them on the project.
3) Motivating Circumstances
If there’s a need, I will work constantly under pressure if my goal is achieved and if it’s well
defined. If anything is set before me then I have a limited amount of time to do it, such as
loading a van with boxes or a homework assignment that is due the next day, I remain calm and I
do the task.
4) Operating Relationships
Whenever I work or relate with others, I whether have a personal contribution and work side
by side without being the stubborn supervisor. I just prefer being the guy that can make a
contribution to the team. With that I’m also a person that wants to be treated equal. I want to
work with anyone as long as we have an equal amount of work. I will make suggestions, come
up with ideas, and even lead if need be, but I will want everyone to be treated equal on a project.
5) Payoff
It makes my job easier if I achieve my goals. It keeps my mind in ease if I have goals that can
be accomplished. If a new project or ministry occurs, what will my goals be for this? Multiple
things need to occur and writing out goals has to occur because if I don’t I will not know what to
accomplish for a certain task.
6) Summary: Learning how I Learn
In conclusion to my unique abilities, I will summarize how I learn and work. I learn by
personally doing the task, and experiencing how the task should be done. Usually, it’s enough
that I can handle it, but if need be I will ask questions along the way in order to fully understand
the task. I can do things in the company of others, but I can do things by myself if need be. When
8. Stoffregen 7
I get feedback, I have to get it immediately so that I can fully understand my successes and
failures. My learning depends on any giving situation so it can be both structured and
unstructured. I measure by what I learn and not by the grade that I get in classes. I need an ample
amount of time to do the task because if I do it under pressure I will not learn as much. I will
learn under pressure, but not as much. In competition, I compete with others instead of the target
that is ahead of me. I learn to improve myself, and gain new knowledge or see the results. After
observing all of these things, I conclude that I am more on my people skills over all the rest.
Module I: Vision and Mission
My desire in youth ministry is to benefit youth workers, students and their families. I want
to build up a community of believers that want to be passionate for the Lord and want to go out
into their own community to serve Christ. How this will be done will be presented in the
following statements:
Vision Statement
It is our desire in youth ministry to build up passionate, God honoring teens, parents and youth
leaders who aspire to evangelize, be leaders in their community, to be unified for the cause of
Christ, make disciples, and to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
(Rational: I want student leaders and youth leaders to get out of their comfort zone and teach the
Gospel to those around them. This vision will be my frame work as I want to train up these
leaders to be passionate about serving Christ and to teach others about the great things that Christ
has done. I want parents to go from consuming everything from the church to giving, to
producing what Christ would produce.)
Biblical Principles
1. Evangelism
a. (Description: Spread the Gospel)
i. Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with
you always, to the end of the age.”
ii. Luke 9:5
9. Stoffregen 8
“And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town shake
off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
iii. I Peter 3:15
“But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared
to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that
is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect…”
(Core Value: As believers we are called to evangelize to those who don’t believe in
Christ. This evangelism is specific from the Gospel of Jesus Christ and should be carried
out in ministry.)
2. Discipleship
a. (Description: Mentorship with a purpose)
i. Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in
heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my
burden is light.”
ii. Luke 14:27
“Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my
disciple.”
iii. II Timothy 2:2
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses
entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
(Core Value: Discipleship should be practiced as a believer because it helps us learn from
each other, to be accountable to one another, to be in fellowship, to be in prayer with one
another, and to strengthen the church. This Discipleship will also be a mentorship
between the youth and the adult, and it will be a teaching, close relationship that will last
forever.)
3. Unity
a. (Description: Work with other believers)
10. Stoffregen 9
i. John 17:20-23
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in
Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are
in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may
believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have
given to them, that they may be one, just We are one; I in them and You
in Me, they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that
You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.”
ii. Ephesians 4:15-16
“Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into
him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and
held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is
working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.”
iii. Romans 12:4-5
“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all
have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members one of another.”
(Core Value: We are to be united in the body of Christ in order to accomplish the work
that Christ has given us, which is the Great Commission. The basis for uniting is Christ.)
4. Leadership
a. (Description: To set an example)
i. I Timothy 4:12
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example
in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
ii. Philippians 2:3
“Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more
significant than yourselves.”
iii. I Timothy 3:1;7
11. Stoffregen 10
“The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he
desires a noble task… Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders,
so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.”
(Core Values: Leadership is crucial to ministry whether the leader is the youth worker or
the student leader. As believers, we are held to a high standard that the Lord has brought
upon us.)
5. Teaching
a. (Description: Biblical Teaching)
i. Hebrews 6:1
“Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to
maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works
and of faith toward God.”
ii. Colossians 1:28-29
“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all
wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. For this I
toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.”
iii. Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing
one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
(Core Value: Teaching sound doctrine is crucial to understanding the scriptures, the
scriptures should be taught clearly in order to accurately teach the Gospel of Christ)
6. Networking
a. (Description: Partnership)
i. Ecclesiastes 4:9
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil”
ii. I Corinthians 3:9
“For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.”
12. Stoffregen 11
iii. I Corinthians 1:10
“I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all
of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be
united in the same mind and the same judgment.”
(Core Value: Partnership with other believers advances both your ministry because it
people keep you accountable and help you in giving resources, second it helps in
spreading the Gospel more to those who don’t believe.)
7) Family Ministry
a) (Description: Parents doing life together)
i. Deuteronomy 6:7-9
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them
when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when
you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your
hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write
them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”
ii. Proverbs 22:6
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not
depart from it.”
iii. Ephesians 6:1-4
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your
father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that
it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” Fathers,
do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline
and instruction of the Lord.”
(Core Value: Youth Ministry is more than the youth, it has to involve the family as well.
Parents are to be doing life together with their teen as they disciple, teach, and ask for
counseling from the youth pastor or the senior pastor.)
Missions Statement:
13. Stoffregen 12
It is our focus to network with parents and other youth workers to further the Great
Commission of Jesus Christ, to teach the Word of God so that teens have the desire to tell
others about Christ, and to give them the framework to disciple teens so that they can be
accountable to one another.

Module III: Methods and the Curriculum
Introduction:
In module one and two, I discussed the Vision, Mission, Biblical Principles, and my
Outcomes for my ministry. The following are the methods and the curriculum which are a result
of my Vision and Mission and Outcomes.
Methods:
1. Network Ministry
15. Stoffregen 14
This ministry will be focused on both youth leaders and students together to
develop networks that will benefit the community. Youth leaders are to meet together
and discuss their hurts, gather resources, to strengthen their youth ministry, and a time to
be accountable to one another. This is also a time to strategize what to do for the
community, and how to meet the needs for the parents and youth leaders in our churches.
2. Outreach ministry
A youth leader with this gift will lead a group of students and youth leaders for
community outreach. This may be done in multiple ways such as personal evangelism or
street evangelism. This ministry will also be a time of encouragement to the youth to
keep going and evangelize to their friends. Along with encouragement, we will develop
evangelism classes that will help the teens evangelize, but the classes will be hands on
experiences and less “class” time.
3. Biblical Teaching Ministry
We are encouraged to preach and teach the word of God, and during youth group
we are to teach from the Bible. When an intentional students wants to teach, then let
them teach. This ministry is a time for exhortation and for practice, in other words, a
youth worker will come alongside a student give the students advice in how to preach
and teach and give them the chance to practice their gifts.
4. Youth Group
Youth Group is a time to feel safe from the pressures of the world, but this
doesn’t mean though that the students will be challenged. This time is a time for games,
community, and preaching from the word of God as well as other topics that the student
needs to stand firm in their faith. It’s a time to present the Gospel to those that don’t
know Christ and do it in a way that is brings it to their reality.
5. Small Group Ministry
Small group will meet once a week. This is a time to strengthen a small number of
teens that are strong in their faith and are committed to presenting the gospel to their
friends. At this time, we will be committed to strategize ideas of evangelism to their
schools, and a time to be personal with them. This will be more than just a book study,
or a Bible study, but a group of teens willing to change how they look on life as they
become leaders in their own community.
6. Discipleship
Youth leaders and church members will come together and mentor a teen from
their church. At this time, the mentor may do a variety of activities but the reason for the
mentorship is to develop the relationship, grow spiritually with each other, keep each
16. Stoffregen 15
other accountable, and to have a lifelong relationship that will benefit both the teen and
the mentor.
7. Purpose Drive Events
The purpose of these events is more than just having fun and to be in fellowship,
but it would help the teen understand the Bible even more. These hands on activities, for
example, may be paintballing which will be concluded to a discussion on spiritual things
or team group activities that will strengthen the teen’s sense of purpose. These activities
will be fun, but it will have a purpose behind it.
8. Campus Ministry
The purpose for this is ministry is more than just going on campus and volunteer
at the schools. It’s an opportunity to support the school by being an advocate to teachers,
serving the students, and to be a Christian influence to students that may not have any.
9. Family Ministry
Families need someone to come to when they are experience trouble in the home.
The role for this ministry is to be a place of counseling, supporting, encouraging, and
acknowledging the parents successes in a Biblical matter.
Curriculum:
These four years will reflect my methods and outcomes that I developed earlier. My first
year will consist of Identity in Christ, which will be a year of finding their own identity and
knowing who they are in Christ by looking through the Bible. My second year will consist of
Bible doctrine and gleaning further into the text that will develop why we believe these
doctrines. My third year will be consisting of the “application” process. The students know why
we believe in these truths, now it’s the time to teach it to others. This year will consist of
discipleship, how to teach the Bible, and other applications that will benefit the student. My last
year is the capstone course which will be more of a small group setting for the seniors in high
school. This is the transition stage from high school life to college life, how they can use their
gifts in the church, and to be encouraged to stay in the church. The following will be the four
year curriculum that I will be presenting during youth group/Sunday School setting
1. Year 1: Identity in Christ
My first year in my curriculum plan will be an identity in Christ. This year will
consist of multiple lessons consist of Old Testament Survey and New Testament Survey
material that will help them understand the Bible better. As well, I’ll be going over why
we believe that Jesus is the Son of God. In other words, I’ll be going over our
worldviews as a believer. Lastly, I’ll be going over self-identity, which will consist of
17. Stoffregen 16
survey’s that will help them understand themselves better. With the survey’s I will
construct lessons that are based on the Bible.

Start encouraging them to Disciple/Mentor their younger peers
Encourage to start interacting with other believers outside of the youth group
Work together to build up relationships with the other youth groups
Organize a night with all of the youth groups and/or run for a Sunday the Sunday service.
Year 4: Preparing after High school
Preparing for after school life is crucial to a teen’s life. I want to develop a year of
transitioning out of the high school life into college or the work life. I want to develop a more
relational level that will change the teen’s life. Discipleship and small group will be crucial for
this year’s theme for “Preparing after High school.” Many of them will experience hardship and
may not want to leave the church. You don’t graduate from church as soon as you outgrow the
youth group. This year is a transition stage, and an application stage of developing their spiritual
gifts for the church, and to interact with the church itself. Even though it has been encouraged
these past years to be part of the church, this year is the year to really start to be involved with
the church in anyway. As well, this is the year of Small group and community.

Weeks 1-40: Small Group
This is the time to get together and talk about life, there pains, sufferings, fears about
after high school, and their big project ahead which is running a church service. As well, we
would be going over passages from scripture that apply to their needs at this moment in their
lives. This year is more democratic leadership and starts to have students involved and less youth
leaders’ involvement. The youth leader will be there to guide them and mentor them and will
help out, but this year student leadership will be set in place.
Summer Months: Weeks 41-52

Module IV: Ministry Organization
As the youth pastor, I’ll be in communication with the youth worker. Since I cannot do a
lot of these ministries on my own, I will be delegating the ministries into two categories. These
ministries are called Student Led Ministries and Youth Group. Student Led Ministries as said is
more of a community outreach, while youth group is within the church setting. The Parents are to
take charge of the Student Led Ministry while the Youth leaders/Volunteers take the youth
group. Both of these leaders will be in communications with each other by bouncing off ideas, to
be in pray with one another, and to be supporting one another. The main result then is to
networking with other churches/youth groups.
Another category which the youth pastor will be a part of is the Church Board. The
church board is a board of elders that meet, and discuss the issues that are part of the church. In
the flow chart, the church board is made up of elders and deacons that will be in charge of
Finances, Missions, and Congregational Relations. The youth pastor will be part of this so that
the he and the rest of leadership will know what they are doing in there ministries.

Full/Part Time Staff:
Senior Pastor/Head Elder: This person will oversee the majority of the churches functions, but
will also be looked over by both the youth pastor and the associate pastor. The pastor is to
oversee the church board, but will not be charge of board. The goal isn’t to have the pastor to be
the hierarchy of the church, but that the pastor to oversee how the church is functioning. He is to
report to the IFCA International organization, but more importantly to God.
Youth Pastor: This person is to oversee the function of the youth group and the church board.
The youth workers are to report to the youth pastor, while the parents are too keep him alert of
how the ministry is performing. The youth pastor is to partner up with the parents and help him
in his ministry. The ultimate goal for the pastor is to network with other churches and help him
in the ministry. He is to report to the senior pastor for guidance and encouragement in how the
ministry is running. In the senior pastor’s report, he is to report how healthy the ministry is and
give the youth pastor the resources that he needs.
Associate Pastor: This person is to oversee the program of the church. The associate pastor is to
report to the senior pastor and the youth pastor for any help that this person needs. The goal isn’t
for him to preach every Sunday, but to connect with the church. The main goal is to find ways to
be relevant and to find appropriate programs for each age group. The associate pastor is also in
charge of the AV crew, the worship pastor, the set up/tear down crew, and for the hospitality
crew.
Worship Pastor: The worship pastor is in charge of the worship team. The worship pastor is to
find songs, praises, and prayers that are appropriate for the service.
The Church Board: The Church Board is a group of elders and deacons that oversee the function
of the church. The Church Board is to come to together at least once a month to talk of business,
missions, and about the church community. This isn’t a time to gossip or to be prideful with how
much we have, but it’s a meeting that functions as a family-like atmosphere. The Church Board
is run by the president who is an elder that is responsible, caring, and most importantly a spiritual
leader. Next there is treasurer that takes care of the money. The treasurer has a team that is
responsible, accountable, has integrity, and is in God’s word. There is an elder on missions, who
is responsible of the thank you letters, and gives the church updates on our supported
missionaries. He is needs to be an expert in missions, honors the Lord, and looks into the
missionaries needs. Last, there is an elder that communicates with the congregation. The elder is
responsible in organizing small groups, prayer chains, and family relations. Not noted above, but
this elder does have a team that will delegate the responsibilities.

Evaluation:
The purpose of the evaluation is for the youth pastors’ benefit of knowing of whether or
not his ministry is going the right direction according to mission and the Bible. First, the
youth pastor will be evaluated based on their interaction with the kids, the youth pastor,
and how they used their time in the ministry. Second, the youth pastor’s evaluation is
towards the church congregation and how the youth pastor interacted with the church and
the senior pastor. This will be implemented by two processes. 1.) The evaluation will be
given to the students, 2.) The evaluation will be given to the youth pastor for the youth
workers and the senior pastor for the youth pastor. After the evaluation process is
complete, the youth pastor will sit down with the youth workers and reflect their
accomplishments and how they can improve. For the youth pastor, he will meet with the
senior pastor and will look over the evaluation of both the students and his and will give
subjections and encouragement for the youth pastor. The following will be twelve
questions that will be asked for both the student and the pastors:
1. Is our youth group heading towards our mission?
2. Are we receiving positive outcomes according to our mission?
3. Are there any outcomes be changed or renewed in order to fit into our mission?
4. How is our quality of the youth group?
5. Is there anything that out leaders needs to improve?
6. If you wanted to change anything about the youth group what would it be?
7. Is the Gospel presented each week?
8. Are we developing Christ likeness?
9. Is our Biblical teaching sound? If not explain.
10. What games would you advise?
11. How is the quality of games now?
12. How can we communicate better?
13. How can we network with other churches?
14. Is our discipleship program working? If not, explain.

Long-Range Career Plan
In order to develop a strong, relational ministry their needs to be a plan that will help me
timeline the next 5, 10, and 15 year. These plans are not set and stone.
5 year plan: In the next five year I plan on finding a ministry to serve at a church somewhere in
the U.S and to find a network that will pray, develop relationships, strategize our city, and to
give our resources
10 year plan: I hope to still be in the same church 10 years after I started serving, but at this
point I may consider doing a Master’s degree or may to be school by then.
15 year plan: I still hope to still be in youth ministry, maybe at a different church. I want to start
teaching others about the benefits of networking and unity in youth ministry.
