The Resource Renewal Institute facilitates the creation, development and implementation of practical strategies to solve the entire complex environmental problem by addressing it comprehensively. We are an incubator of transformational ideas designed to challenge and change the piecemeal way our resources are currently managed and protected.

The need for energy storage stems from the fact that the power grid faces increasing instability. This is caused majorly by two reasons. Firstly, the increasing volatility on the supply side due to intermittent nature of renewables. https://www.sterlitepower.com/blog/energy-storage-crucial-india%E2%80%99s-clean-energy-goals

The article talks about energy transition from polluting fossil-based sources to green form of energy primarily based on hydro, wind, solar, etc. for sustainable development with net zero carbon emissions.
It is on gradual transition of sources of energy for the generation of electricity from hitherto mainly fossil-based fuels to renewable ones for sustainability as well as to net zero carbon emission.
Energy use and climate change are inextricably linked. The majority of U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions - 84 percent - are in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2), resulting almost entirely from the combustion of fossil fuels.
Choices made today in the current national energy policy debate will directly impact U.S. greenhouse gas emissions far into the future. Decision-makers face the challenge of crafting policies that allow the United States to meet its energy needs while acting responsibly to reduce GHG emissions. There is a substantial convergence between the goals of energy policy and climate policy, and many feasible and beneficial policies from supply and security perspectives can also reduce future U.S. greenhouse gas emissions. This presentation considers near-term energy policies that can be adopted in the context of the energy policy debate to best position the local governments to reduce GHG emissions and to implement future climate change policies. In summary, the audience will learn the following:
• Link between energy and climate
• Energy policy context
• Economics of energy
• Example energy reduction/efficiency policies contained in Climate Action Plans.
The work of Mr. Mark Glick, Hawaii State Energy Office Energy Administrator, his team, the stakeholders, participating organizations and members of the public ensure that focus on an achievable, realistic pathway is maintained and followed.
The 100% Clean Energy Goal simply says we believe that clean energy is an absolute priority that requires no less than our best dedicated efforts.
The path remains, the forecast is brighter and we shall be evermore diligent.
This presentation describes the federal incentives under the Stimulus Bill for renewable energy, energy efficiency, carbon capture and storage, and alternative transportation fuels. There are significant incentives available for these and other related developing technologies and companies engaged in these projects.
Louisiana just wrapped up its 2010 Legislative Session. They passed a number of laws (now effective) that relate to sustainable practices and the green building industry. These slides were presented to the Greater New Orleans, Inc. and Green N.O. 2010 "Green" Legislative Briefing on September 8, 2010. The presentation was given by Scott Wolfe Jr., founding member of Wolfe Law Group and Louisiana's first LEED AP attorney.

Economic development and job creation are perennial issues for almost any community, but even more in this severe economic downturn. Recent economic conditions have affected most everyone in the public and private sector, and the City of Sebastianhas been no exception. This presentation will focus on the City of Sebastian’s efforts to strengthen their economy by maximizing
their available resources and providing a sustainable economic framework which balances land use, housing and transportation. Sebastian’s cutting edge sustainable approach is based on supporting green jobs, promoting the growth of eco-tourism and diversifying housing choices to attract a more dynamic workforce.
