Joule Island is exploring renewable energy sources for power generation including wind, tidal, hydro-electric, geothermal and biomass power from waves. These sources could provide clean, sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels and reduce the island's carbon footprint. Wind, tidal, hydro and wave energy appear to have the most potential given the island's coastal location and access to flowing water.
