Common portfolio of services for the National Health System that it is
established by the Commission of Services, main client of the Spanish
Network of HTA Agencies.
Spain has a decentralized healthcare system and the Regions are
responsible for it.
General Objective:
To inform decision making on the inclusion, terms
of financing, or disinvestment, and appropriate
use of health technologies through its global
application across the country by appropriate
health services, in order to promote equity and
sustainability of the NHS.

Functions
• To collaborate with the Directorate General of the
Portfolio of Services of NHS and Pharmacy, in all
aspects related to the update of services;
• To collaborate in the detection and prioritisation of
needs and opportunities in the assessment of health
technology;
• To ensure a common quality methodological
framework for the evaluation and elaboration of the
work produced by the Network;
Functions
• To manage and co-ordinate the elaboration of HTA
reports including economic assessment;
• To disseminate the generated knowledge, share
information, and facilitate collaboration;
• To promote the involvement of the Network in
international forums and bodies;
• To promote initiatives and programs at the
international level.

of NHS in all the process.
