My volunteering Experience
Jorge Agulló Molines
Why Poland?
First, maybe I should talk about why I wanted to
travel. I just graduated a few weeks before (in
fact, I had to come to Alicante to finish one last
work) and I really wanted to change of scene.
I didn’t chose Poland for any particular reason. I
only looked for something totally unknown and
different so probably. What I had never expected
was that I would fall in love with Polish culture
and people.
Oświęcim
Oświęcim is the town where I worked
during the project. This place is beautiful
but, unfortunately, is better known as the
place where the concentration camp of
Auschwitz is located.
I couldn’t enjoy the city as much as I
wanted but I could meet a lot of people
there.
Project Iniciative
• Intercultural Exchange.
• Entrepeneurship Encouraging.
• Non-formal Spanish lessons.
• Involve Young People in Solidarity Activities.
• Implement Sport and Healthy Life in Youth.
Intercultural Exchange
As an European volunteer, there are
so many oportunities to meet other
EVS participants from many
countries.
Entrepeneurship
Encouraging
It is important to give young people
motivation and oportunities to
participate in the real world, not only the
profesional but in all the aspects of the
society.
Non-Formal
Spanish Lessons
I taught Spanish to Polish students using songs,
games and creative lessons. Also participating
in English Cafes with other volunteers.
Involving
Youht in
Solidarity
I participated with the
Solidarity School Club with
some students.
Volleyball
trainings
The school had Volleyball trainings in which we tried to transmit Young people
to be competitive and to improve every day
If you are thinking of taking part in EVS
Erasmus Plus. My piece of advice is, don’t
hesitate anymore, just do it! It’s a beautiful
opportunity and a great priviledge.
