encourage them in their spiritual journey.

of all ages into “covenantal membership.”

His Place brochure, video, skit, and interest survey.

13. Christian Education
Team
Goal # 1
We want to become more intentional in joining with His
Place to reach the unsaved and the unchurched. We are
developing a plan of action to help establish a “bridge” for
the unchurched participants at His Place to come and join
in the Christian Education programs of the First Church of
God, Alma. There are many, many children that come
through those doors who may never have come through a
church door and we are desirous to provide that
experience for them and their families.
14. Christian Education
Team
Goal # 2 and Goal # 3
The Children's Ministries is a natural place to help families feel
welcome and to cultivate and mentor new and existing leaders
in our church and community. One of the ways we have tried
to do that is to make sure that parents know their children are in
a safe and nurturing environment. All workers in children's
ministries have had a background check and every attempt is
made to have two adults in all classes, and in all places where
our children meet.
We've recently invested in 15 pagers to use to quickly contact
parents when needed when their children are participating in
our programs.

Vision and Goals
Vision is To Expand Evangelism Outreach
Through a service evangelism event in August. Looking
at going to the south part of alma to do a big cookout and
yard games prior to fall kickoff to invite people to join us.
Create an opportunity for every student to be a part of a
covenant small group.
Also, it is our desire is to equip our adult staff through an
intentional training event called Simply Youth Ministry
Conference.
31. Building &
Grounds Team
The Building & Grounds Committee had another productive
year in 2012-2013. We have completed updating the
electrical service and wiring in the church building. The
office area furnace at His Place was also replaced.
New projects for the summer of 2013 include the repair and
sealing of the parking lot, as well as the catch basins.
32. Building &
Grounds Team
Other new projects being considered are a new smoke alarm
system for the church building, and adding handicap
accessible space throughout the church building, which
could include updating the restrooms, etc.
A new Building Task Force is being formed, so the Building
& Grounds Committee will be working with that committee
to make some future building improvements.
33. Building &
Grounds Team
Our primary goal is to provide the church
family and the community with clean, safe,
attractive, well-maintained facilities for
worship, learning, fellowship, and
recreation.
