Editor's Notes

  • #2 Intro – self: From Newspaper Boy through Engineering to Recruiter | Coach | How To Consultant, with several stops on the journey to today! For many years I have [and continue to] embrace change, develop new skills and share them with the passion and belief that ‘the world is not flat’ and ‘you can teach old dogs new tricks’. I am an exponent for everyone to, apply 'Best Practices' and the effective and beneficial utilization of today's tools to connect, communicate and collaborate with people and businesses. UnRecruit is "…the ability to Find and be Found". Meaning of ‘Elephants in your toolkit’: Elephants are too big to be hidden, or stuffed inside a closet. When you fail to acknowledge the elephant in the middle of your life, you begin to dance around it, and tippy-toe around it. It begins to take up a lot of emotional space. It becomes exhausting. Unless you stop and face your elephant, it will continue to own you. Are you afraid of your elephant?
  • #4 Everyone has an 'Elephant' hiding in plain sight! And we all encounter obstacles to moving forward, yours could be: * fear of the unknown * belief that everything is 'just right' * searching for the 'perfect' position * conducting your job search (or candidate search) whilst balancing on a rickety 3-legged stool (we will tlak about that in a moment) * your personal brand * expectations over reality * location, location, location * un-findable Change is part of our everyday life, recognizing your own 'Elephant/s' is important to ensuring each of us is successful in the changing environment!
