We have another packed day of baseball Tuesday with 18 games on the schedule. However, with a lot of early start times, only nine games will make up the main evening slate on Yahoo. There are still plenty of excellent options, though, so let's detail some that are worth considering.
MLB DFS: Clevinger, Heaney, Betts, Seager Top Tuesday Targets
1. We have another packed day of baseball Tuesday
with 18 games on the schedule. However, with a lot
of early start times, only nine games will make up
the main evening slate on Yahoo. There are still
plenty of excellent options, though, so let's detail
some that are worth considering.
Pitchers
Mike Clevinger ($46) performed well in his first
start with the Padres, holding the Angels to two
runs across six innings. On the down side, he only
had two strikeouts. That's rare for him given his
career 27.1 percent strikeout rate. Across his five
starts with the Indians and Padres, he's allowed
two runs or fewer four times. While facing the
Rockies isn't exactly a walk in the park, it does
help his cause that the game will be played in San
Diego instead of at Coors Field.

2. Andrew Heaney ($33) has a 3.89 ERA through his
first eight starts, but his 2.69 FIP indicates that
he's pitched even better than that. Last season
one of his biggest problems was keeping hitters
inside the ballpark considering he allowed 1.9
HR/9. That hasn't been a problem for him this year
since he has allowed just two home runs over 44
innings. A matchup against a Rangers team that
has the lowest OPS (.635) in baseball makes
Heaney someone to at least consider at his
reasonable salary.
Top Targets
Mookie Betts ($27) enters a favorable matchup
against Luke Weaver ($28) on an eight-game
hitting streak that has seen him hit 13-for-30 with
two home runs. Overall, he's having an excellent
first season with the Dodgers, posting a .424 wOBA
that would be the second-highest mark of his
career. His .309 ISO would also be a personal best.
His power could be an issue for Weaver, who has
allowed 2.2 HR/9 this season.
Betts isn't the only player on the Dodgers who
could exploit this matchup against Weaver. Corey
Seager ($24) has been as good as Betts has been
this season, recording a .420 wOBA and a .303 ISO.
He's been even better against right-handed
pitchers, posting a .482 wOBA and a .388 ISO
against them.
Bargain Bats
Isiah Kiner-Falefa ($10) has been one of the few
bright spots within the Rangers' lineup this season.
He's 23-for-65 (.354) over his last 17 games and has
improved his strikeout rate from 22.1 percent last
season to 14.3 percent this year. Don't be surprised
if he keeps things rolling against Julio Teheran
($25), who doesn't strike out many hitters and has
a 1.59 WHIP.

3. Don't look now, but the Orioles have a legitimate
shot at making the playoffs. Their hitters have the
potential to put them in a favorable spot to win
against the Mets, who will be starting Michael
Wacha ($27). Wacha has a bloated 1.75 WHIP and
has allowed 1.8 HR/9 on his way to a 7.20 ERA. One
of the more budget-friendly options on the Orioles
to consider is Rio Ruiz ($13), who is 9-for-26 (.346)
with a home run and a double during his current
eight-game hitting streak.
Stacks to Consider
Padres vs. Chi Chi Gonzalez ($25), Rockies:
Fernando Tatis Jr. ($27), Manny Machado ($25),
Mitch Moreland ($17)
Gonzalez makes his way back into the starting
rotation after coming out of the bullpen in his last
two outings. He's having another underwhelming
season, allowing six runs (five earned) and two
home runs across nine innings. He has a 1.45 WHIP
for his career, so this could end up being a
productive night for the Padres. Moreland was
brought over to mostly DH for the Padres, but he's
going to see a lot of action at first base now that
Eric Hosmer (finger) is injured. Entering this
contest, he is on pace to set career-highs in wOBA
(.406) and 1RC+ (157).
Reds vs. Alec Mills ($32), Cubs: Jesse Winker
($22), Nick Castellanos ($14), Mike Moustakas
($9)
Mills started off the season with two good
performances, but it's been downhill for him ever
since. Across his last five starts, he's allowed 21
runs and seven home runs across 24.2 innings.
That included a start against these same Reds in
which he allowed four runs over three innings. His
inability to limit home runs could be a problem
against this trio, specifically. Not only has Winker

improved his batting average this season, but his
ISO has jumped up to .310 compared to .204 last
season.
Mets vs. John Means ($25), Orioles: Pete Alonso
($23), Robinson Cano ($21), J.D. Davis ($20)
The Orioles might not be the only team to score in
bunches in this game. Means entered the season
as their ace, but he hasn't pitched like one with an
8.10 ERA that is supported by an 8.05 FIP. He's also
allowed a staggering 3.6 HR/9, which immediately
makes Alonso an appealing target. Davis is a great
option with a lefty on the mound considering he
has a .407 wOBA against them this season.
