Johann Strauss Father was an Austrian composer known for his waltzes, polkas, and marches. He was born in Vienna in 1804 to musician parents and received musical training in violin and viola as a child. Strauss went on to become the conductor of a local orchestra in 1822 and began composing his own music in 1825. Some of his most famous compositions include the Radetzky March, Tauberln Waltz, and Doblinger-reunion Waltz. Strauss found great success performing music in England for Queen Victoria's coronation and lived in Vienna until his death from fever in 1849.

3. Life and Work He was born in Vienna the 14 of March of 1804. He married Maria Anna Streim in 1825. Then he had four sons: -Johan Strauss II -Eduard Strauss -Josef Strauss -Ferdinand His parents were Franz Borgias Strauss and Barbara Dollmann

4. Life and Work (2) His stepmother send him to a school where he learn to play the viola and the violin. Then he became conductor in 1822 of a local orchestra. In 1825 he began to write his own music. He composed a music in England for the coronation of Queen Victoria, here he became very popular. He died in Viena in 1849 because of a strong fever.
