Women-owned businesses in Florida grew 67% between 2007 and 2016, faster than the national average of 45.2%. In particular, South Florida saw women-owned business growth of 94.7% and Orlando saw 83.5% growth. Given migration trends, lower costs of living, and a strong business climate, it is not surprising that four of the top five metro areas for women-owned business growth are located in the Southeast, including South Florida and Orlando in Florida.
