Jesus was both fully God and fully man. As a man, he had a real human body and experienced human temptations and suffering. He took on human flesh through the virgin Mary, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit without a human father. This allowed him to live a sinless human life and sacrifice himself as the perfect human substitute for our sins. His virgin birth fulfilled prophecies and showed that God can do miraculous new things.

1. Jesus was 100% Man
While still 100% God.

2. God is come in the flesh
• The Word is the name of Jesus Christ. (Rev. 19:13)
• The Word was in the beginning with God. (John 1:2)
• The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14)
 Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also
himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him
that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
THE LORD TOOK PART OF THE SAME FLESH AND BLOOD AS WE
HAVE. 1Jn_4:2-3;

3. GOD BECAME A MAN
• God became a real man, not just an apparition, not just a hologram, not a
phantom, but a real man.
• He was in the likeness of sinful flesh (Rom 8:3). His flesh was the flesh of a
human being. He became a man not only to have the ability to die, but to
overcome the weakness of natural Adamic flesh, not only capable of dying,
but was tired, hungry, thirsty, and gain an increase in wisdom.

4. TEMPTED IN ALL POINTS
• Jesus was tempted in all points, physically, mentally, emotionally, whatever
is common to man, he experienced it.
• Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the
feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet
without sin.
• When nails were driven to his hands, his body had a nervous system that
would deliver the pain to every part of his being.
• When my sons were little boys, they would punch me, it was a very soft
punch. I would feel nothing, but to enjoy the moment, I would fake the pain
and roll over and they would think it was real pain. The Lord did not fake
the pain, it was real pain. When Lorenz was older, he bumped a folding table
which fell on my toe, and that was real pain.

5. CHRIST’S FLESH WAS REAL
• The Lord experienced real agony in the garden, real perspiration like great
drops of blood, real human weeping in prayer with the Father.
• Heb 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and
supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save
him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
• Now he still has a real human body, a glorified human body, sitting at the
right hand of Majesty.

6. THE LORD HAD HUMAN DNA
• Rom 1:3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the
seed of David according to the flesh;
• He has to have human DNA, without human DNA, then he is not human.
• Depravity is in the spirit, not in the material part of man.
• He had a particular DNA traceable to Adam, Noah, Shem, Eber, Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, Solomon, Mary married to Joseph.
• He had Jewish DNA, not Filipino or American DNA.

7. CHRIST THE SON OF DAVID
• Psa 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn
from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
• You would think, this is surely talking only about Solomon, the Son of
David. But wait:
• Act 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with
an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would
raise up Christ to sit on his throne;
• So the prophecy specifying that the future final ruler of Israel will be a fruit
of the body (physical, DNA) of David, is very clear here.

8. MESSIAH FROM DAVID’S SEED
• 2Sa 7:12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy
fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy
bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.
• How can that be just legal sonship, like the relationship between King and
son in law, when in the prophecy it is from your bowels and of your seed?
MESSIAH IS THE SEED OF DAVID AND SOLOMON
• Psa 89:29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the
days of heaven.

10. WHAT DOES THE
VIRGIN BIRTH
TEACH US?

11. THE VIRGIN BIRTH shocks the
world because it is something NEW
• Christ’s virgin birth is a sign (Isa. 7:14) to the Jews and
thru them, to the world. It’s never been done, and never
will be done again.
• The virgin birth testifies to us that God, will do a new
thing on earth, because a woman compassed a man. (Jer.
31:22)

12. VIRGIN BIRTH IS PREGNANCY
THROUGH OVERSHADOWING
Luk 1:35 The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest
shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of
thee shall be called the Son of God.
HOW?
1. The Holy Ghost shall “come upon thee”,
2. The power of the Highest “shall overshadow thee”
RESULT
1. Because of the coming upon and overshadowing of God to Mary, That holy
thing is born of her.

13. THE VIRGIN BIRTH is
CONCEPTION WITHOUT MAN
• Mat 11:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the
Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear
not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of
the Holy Ghost.
• Mary is now bearing a child in her womb, it is not because Mary was with a
man (Luke 1:34), but it is OF THE HOLY GHOST.
• The child inside will undergo the different phases of natural human
conception, until it is fully developed into a full grown baby. The miracle
was, there was no male seed which entered her.

15. The normal human development
inside a woman
• Male sperm cell penetrates a female egg cell,
• Human life comes into being. This event, is known as
fertilization,
• A tiny, single-celled human distinct from mother is
formed.
• This is called a zygote, meaning “yoked or joined
together.”
• The zygote’s DNA has its own set of chromosomes and
genetic blueprint with data such as whether it’s a boy or
a girl, which parent she’ll resemble more, and what color
her eyes will be.

16. Days 4-12 - Embryo implants in
mother's uterus
• Zygote leaves fallopian tube and enters uterus. Baby benefits
from the nutrients from mother’s body.
• Special protein released to prevent a defensive response by the
mother’s immune system. Embryo implants in the uterine
lining.
• The embryo produces a hormone called (hCG) eight days after
fertilization. This hormone brings the menstrual cycle to a
halt.
• Placenta forms. The placenta allows oxygen, nutrients, and
water from the mother’s blood to feed the embryo, and waste
like CO2 removed, without intermixing the blood’s genetic
material.

17. Week 3 to Week 5
• Week 3 - heart begins to beat at day 21
• Zygote within the uterine lining, forming the circulatory
system.
• Week 4-5 - respiratory system develops
• It is now called an embryo. The respiratory system with
two lung buds will emerge. The amniotic fluid within will
shield it from blows and infection, provide temperature
control, and assist muscle and lung growth.
• The liver now forms blood for the first time

18. Week 6-7
• Though less than an inch long, the tiny embryo at the end
of 6 weeks (8 weeks LMP) has a definite “baby” look, with
a large head, eyes, legs, and arms with tiny hands and
finger-buds.
• Although too little to be felt by mom yet, she's already
testing out her limbs, and reacts to touch. Brain waves
are detectable at this stage, and finer shapes like the ears
are already emerging.
• After 38 weeks, a baby is born.

19. THE VIRGIN BIRTH MEANS, JESUS
IS THE FRUIT OF MARY’S WOMB
• Luk 1:42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou
among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
• While filled with the Holy Ghost (v. 41), Elizabeth said, “blessed is the fruit
of thy womb”
• God can work to bring His Son to this world using many means. But God
chose the natural human way, through a woman, a virgin, with a developed
womb, strong and able to bring forth a child.

20. The virgin birth gives us JESUS, AS
made of a woman
• Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
made of a woman, made under the law,
• He is uniquely made of a woman, while all of us were made of a man
 Does Not mean made inside a woman
 Does Not mean made with a woman
 Does Not mean made by a woman,
• Made of a woman, refers to the seed of the woman (Gen. 3:15), without being
touched by the seed of a man. This was the pre-existent material used by the
Holy Ghost to form the body of Christ. (Just like the first Adam was created
using pre-existent materials)

21. Virgin birth gives us REAL HUMAN
FLESH BODY READY TO SACRIFICE
• It is not just for show.
• The body of Mary had a real human physical purpose.
• Heb. 10:5 – a body hast thou prepared for me
• The Father prepared a body that can be slain, (Acts 2:23) that can be offered
as sacrifice, instead of the blood and burnt body of bulls and goats which can
never take away sin. Heb. 10:4, 10-11

22. THE SEED OF THE SERPENT
SHALL BRUISE HIS HEEL
• The seed (offspring) of the virgin, the woman in Genesis 3:15 shall be
bruised by the seed (offspring) of the serpent.
 Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed
and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
• Conflict is prophesied between Messiah and Anti Christ
• “thou” (seed of the serpent) shalt bruise “his” (the Messiah) heel.
• Refers to the crucifixion of Christ.
 Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are
healed.

23. THE SEED OF THE WOMAN
SHALL BRUISE HIS HEAD
• The seed (offspring) of the virgin, the woman in Genesis 3:15 shall be
bruised by the seed (offspring) of the serpent.
 Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed
and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
• Conflict is prophesied between Messiah and Anti Christ
• “It” (referring to Jesus Christ) shall bruise “thy” (Antichrist) head.
 Rom 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

25. • He was both growing in knowledge, in wisdom, in stature, in favour with
God and man; and yet he as the Son of God, knew all things.
 Luk 2:40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and
the grace of God was upon him.
 Luk 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and
man.

26. Christ’s dead body was preserved
• Act 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer
thine Holy One to see corruption.
• God the Father, will not allow the body of Christ, to have “rigor mortis”
corruption.
 All human dead bodies, if it is not placed in the right temperature, humidity, chemical
mix, will have corruption, and soon worms.
 But supernaturally, the body of the Lord Jesus Christ was not allowed to have the same
corruption sequence after death.
• Even if a human body was corrupted, God can reverse the process in the
resurrection. But the body of Christ was treated differently. After death, there
was no rigor mortis.
