This is a sermon that I preached at my church a couple of weeks ago about whether Jesus was The Christ or not. I supported my arguments by using the science of Probability, reason, logic and the Bible.
Lesson 3 | Who Is Jesus Christ? | Sabbath School | Teacher's editionjespadill
Jesus asked His disciples who they thought He was in order to help them understand the commitment required to follow Him. Peter correctly confessed that Jesus is "the Christ of God." The Transfiguration experience further revealed Jesus' divine nature and mission. It comforted Him as He contemplated His upcoming suffering and death, showing that even spiritual leaders need encouragement. We must avoid questioning Jesus' humanity in a way that diminishes His sinless, divine nature, which remains a mystery.
Jesus offered a wealthy young ruler the invitation to "come be my follower." When Jesus said the man lacked one thing - to sell his possessions and give to the poor - the man declined, as he valued his wealth too much. Jesus' invitation was not limited to that man, but applies to all who want to follow him. His invitation promises treasure in heaven and involves wholehearted devotion to Jesus and Jehovah above all else.

The document provides guidance for counselors on leading people to faith in Christ. It discusses the elements of time, identity, and location as they relate to salvation. It examines biblical passages about conversions, including the thief on the cross who asked to be remembered by Jesus. It explores what it means to be saved and safeguard salvation through faith, obedience, and working out one's faith with reverence for God.
This 7-day reading plan explores Jesus’ claims, his deity, and offers thoughts demonstrating that he is the Messiah by Lee Strobel, a former atheist. Devotional thoughts
are drawn from Lee’s own experiences and feature a journalistic style from his days as an investigative reporter with the Chicago Tribune. The plan is perfect for those engaged in a thorough search for the truth to decide if Jesus was who he claimed to be.
All devotions are drawn from The Case for Christ
Study Bible.
The document summarizes how to share the Christian gospel message with others in 3 steps. It begins by drawing a picture of the broken world and humanity's problem with sin. It then illustrates how Jesus came to restore relationships with God and others through his death and resurrection. Finally, it explains that Christians are called to continue Jesus' mission by sharing the message of reconciliation with others in the world. The overall approach is to have a respectful spiritual conversation using visual aids to tell the story of creation, fall, and redemption through Christ.
1) The passage discusses the concept of a "carnal Christian", referring to Christians who live worldly, fleshly lives driven by human passions rather than the Spirit.
2) While Christians can act carnally at times, a true Christian will not remain carnally minded forever, as faith in Christ results in spiritual growth and transformation into his likeness.
3) Outbreaks of carnality may occur as Christians are still imperfect, but for genuine believers they will be exceptions, not the rule, as they progress in sanctification with God's help.
The document discusses what constitutes the pure gospel message according to the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It argues that the pure gospel message is about Jesus Christ in eleven ways: as the Son of God, God incarnate, the Creator God, the Revealer of God, the Savior, the Judge, the God-Man, the Christ, the High Priest, the coming King, and the Restorer. It is also the gospel of Christ in that it is possessed by Christ. The SDA Church believes it is called to preach this pure gospel message about and of Christ to carry out its mission and hasten Christ's return.

Luke Chapter 11, Onomatopoeia, keys kleis, binding and loosing, Jesus Teaches About Prayer, Satan And Demons, and Empty Religion, binding and loosing, onomatopoeia, keys kleis
Jesus asked many questions to teach important spiritual truths to his followers. Some of the key questions Jesus asked included "Who do you say that I am?" to get his disciples to declare their belief that he is the Messiah. He also asked "Do you believe?" to challenge people's faith. And he asked "Do you want to get well?" to expose whether people truly desired healing or just wanted superficial help. Through questions, Jesus led people to deeper understanding and transformation.
This document provides a summary of key teachings from the Gospel of Luke. It discusses Jesus' authority in his teachings, as noted in Luke 4:32. It then outlines the Sermon on the Mount from Luke 6:20-49, covering topics like the Beatitudes, loving enemies, and listening and doing. Another section examines Jesus' response to a lawyer's question about inheriting eternal life in Luke 10:25-37, telling the parable of the Good Samaritan. The document emphasizes that all people are equal in God's eyes and should show mercy to their neighbors.
Probably the most unusual and beautiful Christmas message I have ever been given by the Lord. It's about a love story, about Mary & Joseph & Jesus and a man who may have been a role model for Joseph when he found out about Mary's s
Metamorphosis is a discipleship book for new Christians. It covers thirteen crucial topics that every new believer in Jesus Christ should know and experience. These include being born again, baptism, prayer, the Bible, the church, service, confessing sins to God, inner spiritual life, and Christ’s transforming power. The short chapters, many verses, and discussion questions are all designed to be read by a new believer along with a mentor or in small group settings.
The Metamorphosis project was a huge collaborative work. The initial content for each chapter was developed by a group of over 20 interns and over the course of 5 years, the content was edited by a number of copy editors and theology scholars. Each of its 105 pages has a unique textural design and vivid artwork is scattered throughout book, featuring 5 different artists. It is all unified into one style, literary voice, and artistic vision.
This document discusses God's role as redeemer through Jesus Christ. It explores how sin is so severe that only God himself could solve the problem as creator and redeemer. It examines key Bible passages that foreshadow Christ's atoning sacrifice, such as Genesis 3:15 and Isaiah 53. The document emphasizes that Jesus willingly gave his life to redeem sinners, as seen in his words from the cross when he felt abandoned by God. It encourages serious reflection on the immense love and cost of Christ's sacrifice to save humanity.
This document contains several articles discussing arguments against the historical existence and resurrection of Jesus Christ. One article summarizes that while some myths from antiquity share superficial similarities with elements of Christianity, there is no credible evidence that Jesus's life was based on any myth. Another article examines supposed medical reasons why Jesus may not have actually died on the cross, but finds based on the documented torture and injuries that death was certain. The document encourages intellectually engaging with skeptics in a thoughtful manner to defend Christianity.
To Bring Us Into the Home of His Heart - Russ Fochlerrfochler
Do we need further reformation to how we understand God's love? What do we do with scriptures about "hell" and "endless torment"? Slides 1-18 used in a talk at Blazing Fire Church blazingfire.org on 8-26-2017. Slides 19-26 provide addition quotes and insights. Jesus is the English translation of the Greek name Iesus or Yeshua in Hebrew, both meaning "Yahweh saves" or "Jehovah is salvation." He had many titles including Christ, which means "anointed one." Jesus claimed to be the bread of life, the light of the world, the good shepherd, the Son of God, the Son of Man, and the way, the truth and the life. The Bible does not specify Jesus' birthday but it is celebrated on December 25th, though early Christians did not celebrate his birth. Jesus was a passionate teacher who was moved to tears and overturned money changers' tables in the temple.
This document examines whether Jesus was truly perfect by analyzing several stories from the gospels. It argues that in these stories, Jesus contradicts his own teachings by cursing enemies, displays anger and violence in cleansing the temple, and causes needless harm to animals and a tree. The document asserts this depicts Jesus as a flawed human being, not a perfect deity as traditionally believed by Christians. It aims to show through analysis of biblical passages that Jesus exhibited human traits and was not entirely sinless.
Hymns and Songs that Inspire: Amazing GraceJeff Gissing
You cannot be united to Christ in salvation unless and until God’s amazing grace has first interrupted your life, gotten your attention, taught you to fear, convicted you of your sin and need for a savior, and brought you to the place where you acknowledge your need for Jesus and cry out with Newton: “mercy!”
This document discusses appreciating the good in people and their works, even if they have faults or sins. It provides examples like how we can appreciate King David's psalms and leadership, despite his sins, and how God used Moses and Paul greatly despite their past sins. The document advocates focusing on the good that people do and being accepting ambassadors of love for Jesus, like He was with people.
This article discusses the importance of gratitude through examining Jesus healing the ten lepers and only one returning to give thanks. It notes only one leper, a Samaritan, returned to thank Jesus. The article emphasizes that gratitude is an expression of faith in God and his blessings. Ingratitude leads to apostasy from God. It encourages readers to remember God's blessings and display gratitude.
This is a study of Jesus as the greatest paradox in the Bible and in all of history, He was both God and man, and you cannot get a greater paradox than that.

The document discusses evidence for Jesus performing miracles and being divine rather than just a prophet or teacher. It presents four Bible studies as examples:
1) The Supernatural Bible study examines prophecies about Jesus hundreds of years before his birth to argue the Bible has supernatural origins.
2) Jesus: Lord, Lunatic, Liar or Legend? discusses Jesus' controversial claims to being God and evaluates whether he could have been lying or mistaken.
3) The Miracles of Jesus defines miracles and examines the historical evidence for Jesus' miracles like raising Lazarus, using criteria like eyewitnesses and effects, to argue they show his divinity.
4) The Resurrection of Jesus is
1. The document discusses evidence for Jesus' existence as a historical figure and the claims he made about himself according to the New Testament.
2. It examines the logical possibilities that Jesus was either a madman, liar, or who he claimed to be - the Son of God.
3. The evidence presented includes Jesus' teaching, works, character, fulfillment of prophecies, and the event of his resurrection which transformed Christianity from a small sect into a major world religion.

Ultimate Spiritual Fighting - The Enemys Teaching Part 2Robin Schumacher
This document discusses various false Christs, false gospels, and the true gospel according to Christianity. It provides examples of individuals like Jose Luis de Jesus Miranda and Sun Myung Moon who have claimed to be the Christ, contrary to biblical teaching. It also outlines how the gospels of Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, and other belief systems differ from the Christian gospel of Jesus Christ dying for sins and resurrecting. The document emphasizes the importance of adhering to the true gospel and not being misled by false teachings that distort Jesus or claim other ways of salvation.
This document is a transcript of a sermon about how believers can glorify God through faith alone rather than works. It discusses how the law reveals human sinfulness but does not justify. The sermon says true faith in God pleases Him and brings glory to Him, as exemplified by Abraham, who believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. In contrast, trying to add works to faith undermines God's grace and tries to steal His glory. The conclusion is that we glorify God by accepting salvation as a free gift of grace through faith in Christ alone.
Pastor Elio Marrocco's "The Uniqueness Of Christianity" sermon at New Life Christian Church on May 9, 2014. You can learn more about New Life Christian Church here: http://www.newlifecc.ca
The document provides details of a church service including readings from the Bible on idol worship and wealth. It discusses identifying and acknowledging idols, repenting from worshipping them, and faithfully following Jesus above all else. It defines modern idols as things like money, power, sex, fame, nationalism, and security. The document encourages choosing Christ-like perspectives over American idols and perspectives that are not consistent with faithfully following Jesus.
This article discusses how Christians should conduct themselves, especially in victory or defeat. It emphasizes maintaining good character regardless of outcomes. A sore loser or winner loses their character, but God's people are to be examples of Christ. The early church faced opposition but added members daily through living godly lives. Ultimately, victory over the world comes through faith in Christ. The choice is ours to be headed for victory in Heaven or defeat in Hell based on our response to God's salvation.
This document discusses the author's Christian beliefs and the importance of Christianity. It provides biblical evidence for core Christian concepts like the life of Jesus, salvation through faith in him, and the truth and authority of the Bible. The author believes the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God and that it has stood up to historical and scientific scrutiny. Jesus' miracles, fulfillment of prophecies, and resurrection prove he is the son of God and savior of mankind. Through faith in Christ, Christians can have hope of eternal life.
True gospel 2: WHAT IS THE GOSPEL OF MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM? It is the Mul...Lope Columna
This document introduces the concept of Messianic Kabbalah wisdom, which is described as a powerful wisdom revealed by God that can transform people, the world, and the universe. It is presented as the convergence of the wisdom and knowledge of Moses, Elijah, and Jesus Christ. The document claims this wisdom was revealed to a man in the Philippines and argues it is the missing dimension of understanding in mainstream Christianity, Judaism, and other religions. Adopting this wisdom is posited as the path to restoring creation to its original state before sin. Readers are encouraged to support the movement.
The document summarizes Jesus healing six blind men according to different biblical accounts, noting there was no set pattern of healing. It also discusses the healing of a blind man in John 9, noting the Pharisees questioned the man and accused him of being blind due to sin. Jesus said he was sent to bring sight to the blind and exposed the Pharisees' spiritual blindness. The document analyzes various verses from the account, addressing theological issues and lessons that can be learned.

Garden at Gethsemane According to the Completed TestamentPedro Morales
The document summarizes Rev. Sun Myung Moon's view on Jesus' prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane prior to his crucifixion. According to Moon, Jesus was not praying out of fear or weakness, but out of concern for his mission and the suffering his death would cause for humanity and God. Moon believes Jesus' death would delay God's kingdom and result in millions suffering, and Jesus was pleading for an alternative way to fulfill his mission without this outcome. The document outlines Moon's perspective on why the traditional understanding of Jesus' prayer and mission may be incorrect.
The document discusses arguments for the divinity of Jesus Christ. It presents evidence from the Gospels where Jesus claims to be the Son of God and equal to God. Jesus also claimed to be sinless, able to forgive sins, and able to save people from sin and death. The document then considers arguments against Jesus' divinity, such as that the disciples lied or were delusional, but finds these alternatives even less likely than Jesus truly being the Son of God. It concludes that Jesus was either God, a liar, or lunatic, and that the moral and historical evidence point to him being divine.
Crucified With Christ - The Two Pathways Of Mind Control - 12 Apr 2015MinistryOfHeaing777
Crucified With Christ - The Two Pathways Of Mind Control . Will we allow God to give us the mind of Christ and die to self ? Or will we submit our will to the Devil through the influence of modern music, media and the occult ? The presentation explores the latest demonic push to capture our minds, plus the Hope of victory over self through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This document discusses Jesus Christ's invitation to "Come be my follower." It describes how Jesus issued this invitation personally to a wealthy young ruler, urging him to sell his possessions and follow Christ. Though initially impressed with Jesus, the ruler refused when he realized it required giving up his wealth. The document explains that Jesus' invitation applies to all people and discusses several reasons why following Christ as the perfect leader chosen by God is beneficial. These include his unparalleled example, self-sacrificing care for his followers as the "fine shepherd," and promise of a happy life now and forever.
Christ's sacrifice on the cross accomplished salvation for every human being. By His death, He tasted the second death for all and elected all to be saved. Additionally, His ongoing priestly ministry draws all people to repentance through His persistent, gracious love. While salvation has been made available to all, one can only experience it by believing in what Christ has already done. Those who are lost have deliberately rejected the salvation Christ secured for them.

The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

Tales of This and Another Life - Chapters.pdfMashaL38
This book is one of the best of the translated ones, for it has a warning character for all those who find themselves in the experience of material life. Irmão X provides a shrewd way of describing the subtleties and weaknesses that can jeopardize our intentions, making us more attentive and vigilant by providing us with his wise pages, reminding us between the lines of the Master's words: "Pray and watch."

Is Jesus really God?
JESUS THE CHRIST?
This sermon will make the case for the deity
and exclusivity of Jesus. It is increasingly
popular to see Jesus as one of many ways
to God, or to diminish Jesus’ role to being a
“great moral teacher.” We will explore the
clear evidence for Jesus’ deity and His
unique role as savior and redeemer.

Is Jesus really God?
Who Did Jesus Claim To Be?
Mark 14:61-62 ESV
61 “But he remained silent and made no
answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are
you the Christ, the Son of the blessed?”
62 And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son
of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and
coming with the clouds of heaven.”
5. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
What Did Jesus Say He Was?
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in
God; believe also in me.” John 14:1 ESV
6 ”Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth,
and the life. No one comes to the Father except
through me. 7 If you had known me, you would
have known my Father also.[d] From now on you do
know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7 ESV
6. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
Liar, Lunatic or Lord?
C.S. Lewis addressed
whether Jesus could be a
good moral teacher but
not who he said he was.
7. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
Good but a Liar?
“...I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the
really foolish thing that people often say about
Him, "I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral
teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God."
That is the one thing we must not say. A man who
was merely a man and said the sort of things
Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher.”
8. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
A Lunatic?
“He would either be a lunatic - on the level
with the man who says he is a poached egg -
or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You
must make your choice. Either this man was,
and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or
something worse.”
9. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
Lord?
“You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at
Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at
His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us
not come with any patronizing nonsense
about His being a great human teacher. He has
not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”
“Mere Christianity” C.S. Lewis
10. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
Dr. William Lane Craig
“Reason can be used to defend our faith by
formulating arguments for the existence of
God or by refuting objections. But though
the arguments so developed serve to confirm
the truth of our faith, they are not properly
the basis of our faith, for that is supplied by
the witness of the Holy Spirit Himself.”

“The Genuine realist, if he is an
unbeliever, will always find strength

miraculous , and if he is confronted

would rather disbelieve his own senses
than admit the fact. Faith does not…

Refusal To Come To Christ?
“When a person refuses to come to
Christ, it is never just because of lack of

because he willingly ignores and rejects

heart.”

Jesus Heals The Man At The Pool
John 5:5-7 ESV
5” One man was there who had been an invalid for
thirty-eight years.6 When Jesus saw him lying there
and knew that he had already been there a long time,
he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?” 7 The sick
man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into
the pool when the water is stirred up, and while I am
going another steps down before me.”
34. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
John 5:8-11 ESV
8 ”Jesus said to him, “Get up, take up your bed, and
walk.” 9 And at once the man was healed, and he took
up his bed and walked.
Now that day was the Sabbath. 10 So the Jews said to
the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath,
and it is not lawful for you to take up your bed.” 11 But
he answered them, “The man who healed me, that
man said to me, ‘Take up your bed, and walk.’”
35. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
John 5:12-15 ESV
12 They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you,
‘Take up your bed and walk’?” 13 Now the man who
had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus
had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the
place. 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and
said to him, “See, you are well! Sin no more, that
nothing worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went
away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had
healed him.
36. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
John 5:16-18 ESV
16 ”And this was why the Jews were persecuting
Jesus, because he was doing these things on the
Sabbath. 17 But Jesus answered them, “My Father
is working until now, and I am working.” 18 This was
why the Jews were seeking all the more to kill
him, because not only was he breaking the
Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own
Father, making himself equal with God.”
37. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
John 5:19-21 ESV
19 ”So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to
you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but
only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever
the Fatherdoes, that the Son does
likewise. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows
him all that he himself is doing. And greater works
than these will he show him, so that you may
marvel. 21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives
them life, so also the Son gives life to whom he will.”
38. Making the Case for Christ:
Is Jesus really God?
John 5:22-24 ESV
22 ”The Father judges no one, but has given all
judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son,
just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor
the Son does not honor the Father who sent
him. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my
word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.
He does not come into judgment, but has passed from
death to life.”

•30 “I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge,
and my judgment is just, because I seek not my
own will but the will of him who sent me. 31 If I
alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is
not true.

and I know that the testimony that he bears about
me is true. 33 You sent to John, and he has borne
witness to the truth.”

but I say these things so that you may be

and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his

sent me.”
