3. I used to be the type of person
who was happy with a life full
of repetition, habits and the
same environment all the time.
A change forced me to adjust
the rhythm of my life. I was
forced to change my mindset,
leave old habits behind or say
goodbye to the times I had to
leave behind. These changes
make me face the unfamiliar in
my life. Sometimes adapting to
a change makes us uncomfortable
because we have to face
I never imagined before that I could
be a part of Bangkit Academy led by
Google, Tokopedia, Gojek, & Traveloka,
when I got this opportunity there were
many mixed feelings such as excited
and worried. I am a student majoring
in Information Systems, this major
does not study the technical side
unlike the Informatics Engineering
major makes me worried about my
learning process and others who are
different makes me think of the
possibility of being left behind, but
on the other hand I feel this is an
opportunity that brings change for the
better if we use the opportunity to
develop it makes me excited to decide
At first, it was very difficult to adapt
to a busy schedule with many tasks to be
completed, some material I already knew
and some other material I did not know but
had to understand immediately, and a new
environment and new friends. However, as
time went by, it was not as difficult as I
imagined. The difficulties I experienced
in the adjustment process in the first
week eventually made me accustomed to
being able to overcome them well and I
managed to get through my first month at
Bangkit Academy. I would like to share 5
ways to adapt based on my experience
joining Bangkit Academy 2023. I learned
these 5 ways from the ILT session with my
amazing instructor, Kak Ira Yuti.

4. In Bangkit Academy there are 5013 cohorts consisting of various ages and regions in Indonesia. I
met many new people with different ages, educational backgrounds, and personalities, and we were
encouraged to interact and collaborate. I felt awkward socializing because of my limited language
skills but it wasn't a big deal because everyone supported each other. In daily life we
communicate online using English when communicating with each other, but I try to greet them and
randomly talk about daily life. The cohort at Bangkit is filled with people who have very high
ambitions, I try to keep up with them by actively listening and asking questions. Although they
are full of ambition, they are not individualistic, they have the desire to move forward together
by exchanging ideas and helping each other when we encounter problems with the material we are
working on. By doing so, I was able to get to know new friends and build strong relationships
among the cohort and create a positive and productive environment.

6. By joining Bangkit Academy Cloud Computing learning path, I already have a goal. I have a
transcript of last year's grades, making it into a wallpaper so that it becomes this year's
learning target. I want to improve my technical skills and soft skills, especially in the field of
Cloud Computing so that one day I can become a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Software Engineer. At the
end of this program, I want to create applications that are useful and efficient and can help
others. I can get all of that by joining Bangkit Academy. This program helps me achieve my goals
by learning about new things and improving my skills so that I am better prepared to face
challenges in the IT workforce. Not only do I have to develop my technical skills, but I also
learn to be a person with a developed and critical mindset. The way I achieved this was by
submitting all assignments before the deadline, following the schedule and rules, and giving my
best effort to gain knowledge. We also work on challenging projects. Last but not least, we get a
global certification, Associate Cloud Engineer.

7. In the second week of joining Bangkit Academy, I realized that people already have a higher level
than me. I have taken other Cloud certifications but on this learning there was a lot of new
material for me, so sometimes I found it difficult, I felt overwhelmed with the workload, and
inferior to my friends who were better than me. But as time went by, I was able to adapt to the
fast-paced learning approach of the program by cultivating a conscious sense of responsibility to
fulfill every task that had been assigned. Whenever I had difficulties in understanding some of
the program's learning, I sought help from my fellow cohorts to enhance my learning experience. I
feel very lucky to be in this environment as I have Kak Warham as an excellent and supportive
mentor and friends who are willing to help my learning process during study groups.

9. At first, I felt overwhelmed and anxious about completing assignments and meeting deadlines with a
busy schedule. However, after taking the Time Management class, I was able to adapt and optimize
my schedule efficiently. I created an effective time management strategy between my coursework and
assignments from Bangkit Academy using Google Calender, Notion, and Trello. The three tools not
only helped me manage my workload better, but also allowed me to prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines efficiently. Other than that, teamwork, we collaborate and compromise on the skills and
knowledge we have to share with each other. To date, I have collaborated with my colleagues to
solve problems and exchange ideas. Then we were asked to find a Capstone Project team to find team
members, form collaborations, and participate according to the lessons learned, and communication
between members will be essential.

11. I learned that improving my growth mindset made me stop doubting myself, now I feel more confident
that I can do it and I also have the same potential as everyone else. Instead of giving up or
feeling hopeless, I am able to see mistakes and failures as opportunities to learn and grow. From
adaptability and resilience, I learned that adaptability allows me to see every challenge as an
opportunity to learn and grow. In addition, resilience allows me to face failure with more
optimism and confidence, and to see every failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.
