An exciting opportunity for a Senior Java Developer to join an Aberdeen based start-up Technology
Company. My client is building a real-time revolutionary platform which takes communicating with
technology to another level! This is already being used by a number of huge businesses across the
globe including companies within Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and much more! They are generating so
much money already that their turnover is in the billions but they want to bring in a Java Team Lead to
help build even further!
Responsibilities:





Creating solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components
and interfaces within an Agile software development environment.
Assisting with workload planning.
Assisting with design of new software solutions.
Integrating applications by studying and establishing connectivity with client systems and
information servers.
Supporting users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
Writing Unit tests and reviewing the work of colleagues.
Essentials:











Extensive experience within a Java Development role
Experience leading/managing a development team
Mentoring Junior developers
Use of structured processes, and improving as required
Working within Agile methodology
Databases and SQL
A good knowledge of the JDK APIs
Version control, release management and configuration experience
Production of supporting Technical documents about design and release
High level Communication and Presentation skills
BSc in Computer Science or related field
We are looking for a Java Team Lead who has great problem solving skills and can be a point of
contact for juniors in the development team. You will be leading both Developers and Testers; along
with hands-on development as well.
