2. What is OFF?
• OFF is a French indie game made by a man
named Mortis Ghost.
– Its initial release was in 2008, though traces of it
dated back to 1999. The game itself was
translated into English in 2011.
•The game was made completely within RPG Maker
2003, and is free for the PC.

3. So what’s the story?
• In OFF, you are to control a baseball player
who goes by none other than “The Batter”.
– The Batter is on a sacred mission to purify the
world, and you are to help him by acting as his
puppeteer. You take him through the zones, and
aid in completing his mission.

4. Who are the main characters?
• The Batter: A mysterious baseball player
who is on a sacred mission.
• Zacharie: An odd merchant who you’ll
frequently encounter on your journey.
• The Judge: A cryptic cat who serves as your
guide throughout the zones.

5. Who else can I meet?
• Elsen: The elsen are inhabitants of the zones.
They all appear to look the same, but tend to
have different personalities depending on
the zone they come from.
• The Guardians: There is one guardian for
each zone, with each having their own
unique look.
• The Queen: She is, of course, the queen. You
hear about her quite a lot throughout the
game, yet you don’t meet her until much
later.

6. What are “The Zones”?
• The zones are areas within OFF that are odd
and different in many ways.
– There are 3 main zones, respectively called Zone
1, Zone 2, and Zone 3.
•There is, however, a fourth zone called Zone 0, which
serves only as a safe haven. This is where The Judge
resides.
– Along with the zones, there is one last area called “The
Room”. But that’s not exactly considered a zone.

7. Can I fight things? I want to fight
things!
• The enemies in OFF are specters, ghouls, and
other hostile beings.
– They range in their appearance from zone to
zone, area to area.
•The only place that is completely free of common
enemies would be Zone 0.

8. Where can I play this game?
• The English translation and the original
French version of the game can be
