To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this very strong letter of recommendation for Janna Claire Johnson for a
summer internship. Janna is a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for
Wingate University, and in this capacity she represented her school for a Division II
Health and Safety Summit at the NCAA national office. Janna provided compelling
insight during this meeting, and she also reached out to me regarding a visit to Wingate
University for their Lyceum Lecture Series. Janna organized an entire visit at Wingate;
which included meeting with the president, director of athletics, athletics staff, coaches,
and 200 student-athletes. I have visited over 100 NCAA member schools, and this was
one of the most compelling and well-organized visits to date – something that speaks
volumes about Janna’s enthusiasm, passion, vision and organizational skills.
Janna spoke with me about her short- and long-term interests, and I understand she would
like to have exposure with a strong company that has a start-up mindset and that is
looking for an intern with versatility ranging from financial analysis to social medial and
relationship building. Based on my two interactions with Janna, I recommend her most
highly for a summer internship position. I have met numerous student-athletes, and
Janna stands out as one of the select few with exceptional talent and drive.
