The Marina Key Club weekly meeting covered upcoming events including attending the Region 3 Conclave to elect the next Lieutenant Governor, volunteering at the Surf City Marathon by passing out water and cheering on runners, recycling to help lower the cost of attending DCON, and holding elections for the 2014-2015 club officer positions.

-Who: Region 3
-What: We will be listening to LTG candidates
present their speeches. There will be a
DCM
-Why? We will be electing our LTG for the 20142015 term
-Where/When: Orange Coast College

3. Surf City Marathon
-Who? Marina Key Club [50 members]
-What: We will be passing out water and cheering on runners
-Why? To help our community with our service.
-Where/When: Sunday, February 2nd, 2014

4. Recycling
Don’t forget to bring your recyclables
so we can raise money to decrease
the price of DCON!

5. DCON
-Who: Key Clubs from California, Nevada, and
Hawaii will be attending this event!
-What: District Convention is a 3-day convention
where Key Clubbers will get to witness
awards, go to workshops, attend a
dance, and more!
-Why? To celebrate a year of service and to
commemorate high achieving clubs and
members!
-Where/When: Sacramento Convention Center
from April 11th-13th!
(We will have to skip school on Friday)

6. Elections
-Who? The future leaders of Marina Key Club
-What: We will be having elections for next
year’s 2014- 2015 Marina Key Club
officers.
