The ballad describes the life of Genghis Khan, the founder and Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. It details his early life, escape from captors, rise to power as a leader who united Mongolia, and conquests that expanded the empire across Eurasia through skilled horseback riding and archery. Though the Mongols were seen as barbaric and ruthless, the ballad notes they also protected trade routes and tolerated religions, helping ideas spread and lands improve under their rule.

2. Verse 1
Temujin was born to a powerful man,
he led a normal life.
All of a sudden, when he was ten,
his father was poisoned by
absolute traitors they were deceiving
and they captured Temujin.
For no reason, he was receiving
the worst possible punishment.

They invaded many countries.
Barbaric and ruthless, they got the job done,
creating World History.

4. Verse 2
Temujin escaped by his great bravery,
he finally got away.
He won some men over due to his loyalty,
alliances all the way!
Unanimously elected the ruler,
he was now Genghis Khan.
Assembling armies is how he united
his country, Mongolia.

6. Verse 3
Tartars shot with intention of ending lives,
they had immense accuracy.
Skilled so beautifully on their horses,
they could conquer any country.
Though they sound ruthless, vicious, and cruel,
they would bargain you a deal.
Don’t go against them and don’t fight back,
it’s best if you just appeal.

8. Verse 4
When Genghis Khan died, he divided his empire
amongst his four grandsons.
The kingdom remained successful for a while,
until the infection.
The Black Plague would spread and infect citizens,
it was so unfortunate.
Also, the economy was depleting,
they had no money left.

10. Verse 5
Remember that it was not only invasions,
but also great advancements.
Mongols protected the Silk Road trade route
and tolerated religions.
Ideas would spread throughout all of Eurasia,
a new and improved land.
The Mongols would let you govern yourself
while providing a helping hand.
