Jaques de Moley was born in 1244 in Montsegur, France and became the last Grand Master of the Knights Templar in 1292. As Grand Master, he advocated for reforming the Templar order and organizing a new crusade, but was arrested in Paris in 1307 on charges of heresy. At his execution, de Moley cursed Pope Clement V and King Philip IV, predicting they would face judgment from God within a year for their persecution of the Templars.
