The Jackson 5 was a band formed in 1966 consisting of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael Jackson. They were raised in Gary, Indiana and gained popularity in the early 1970s, becoming one of the biggest pop music acts at the time and the first black teen idols to appeal to white audiences. Some of their top singles included "ABC", "I'll Be There", and "I Want You Back". They joined Motown Records in 1968.
