Kazakhstan is a large country located in Central Asia with a population of over 16 million people. It has abundant natural resources like oil, natural gas, uranium, and other minerals. The capital was moved in 1997 from Almaty to the new purpose-built city of Astana to better develop the country. This document discusses conceptual approaches to developing Kazakhstan's territory through long-term planning. It analyzes the country's regions, resources, infrastructure, and proposes development scenarios to strengthen borders and growth centers for sustainable organization of the country's territory.
