The Item Merge process is being simplified to a single weekly report called the Item Merge Report. Beginning July 10th, this report will be found on Workbench and include pre-populated backroom locations, removing the need for a separate worksheet. It will also show the completion percentage from the previous week. Stores must process the item merges listed on the report to maintain inventory accuracy and avoid potential losses of over $13 million seen in 2011 due to unprocessed merges.
