Islam and Christianity are the second and first most practiced regions in the world. Both originated
in the same region of the world, and yet sometimes it is difficult for both groups to coexist. Both
religions started within the middle east area of the world. Islam and Christianity are both
monotheistic religions, meaning that the only worship one Deity. Followers of Christianity they call
their deity God, and followers of Islam, called Muslims, call their deity Allah. Both religions teach
its followers to do right by the deity by practicing rituals or prayers and adhering to rules that are

In Christianity, their prophet was called Jesus, who is deemed to be much more than a prophet in
this particular religion. Jesus is said to be an incarnation of God, who they referred to as the Son of
God and He, Jesus, spread the word of God and died via crucifixion as a final sacrifice to provide
salvation for all of the sins of the people in the world. Islam also has a prophet whose name is
Mohammed. Unlike Jesus, Mohammed is not deemed as having any specific relation to God. He
is seen just as a regular man who has spoken with Allah and help spread the word of Islam. Like
Mohammad, Muslims refer to Jesus as just a regular prophet and not the Son of God. In
Christianity, Jesus was the one true and final prophet, which discredits Mohammed in Christians'
eyes since Jesus came before Mohammed. In Islam it is believed that Allah has sent man prophets,
such as Moses, Jesus, Mohammad and many more. They claim that each prophet went astray and
Mohammed was the right prophet to help make perfect the word of Allah in the form of Islam. The
Christian holy book is called the Bible. It has many stories called scriptures that tell about God's
doing and how things came to be. It is split into two main sections, the Old Testament, which was
written before Jesus, and the New Testament which is when Jesus began his ministry and spoke the
word of God to the people.
