This document discusses a sustainable development project called Invest Waste that aims to provide renewable energy and microloans to impoverished communities. The project will establish biogas systems to power small businesses and homes, while also providing zero-collateral loans to allow people to start their own enterprises. In the first year, the project helped 10 farmers, 2 dry cleaners, a carpenter, and a family of 30, improving their daily incomes. The goals are to expand reach to more villages, eventually shift to portable systems in urban areas, and build a microenterprise network within 5 years, though solar power competition poses a future risk. Financial projections estimate revenues growing to $1 million by year 3 with maintenance costs decreasing.
