Inuksuit are stone landmarks built by Inuit people for purposes such as hunting, providing directions, conveying spiritual meanings, and serving as message centers. They have been constructed by Inuit in Arctic regions of Canada, Alaska, and Greenland, with some forms including an extended arm to point directions or mark territories when on top of hills, and others situated for slaughtering animals.
