2. 1. Introduction
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) was established in
accordance with the Mumbai Metropolitan Development Act, 1974, on 26th January, 1975.
Since its inception, MMRDA is engaged in long term planning, promotion of new growth
centers, implementation of strategic projects and financing infrastructure development. The
Regional Plan provides for a strategic frame work of MMR's sustainable growth. The object
behind establishing MMRDA was to make MMR a destination for economic activity by
promoting infrastructure development and improving the quality of life.
The MMRDA prepares plans, formulates policies and programs, implements projects and helps
in directing investments in the Region.
The broad responsibilities of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority includes:
 Preparation of Regional Development Plans
 Providing financial assistance for significant regional projects
 Providing help to local authorities and their infrastructure projects
 Coordinating execution of projects and/or schemes in MMR
 Restricting any activity that could adversely affect appropriate development of MMR,
etc.
In particular, it conceives, promotes and monitors the key projects for developing new growth
centers and brings about improvement in sectors like transport, housing, water supply and
environment in the Region.

3. 2. About application
A. New Registration
MMRDA, allow only certified user to submit proposal online. Defined user types are
Architect, Owner and Developer All of the O/A/D (Owner Architect and Developer) need to
register themselves in BPAS web portal. For registration, they would require to sign-up on
portal with their basic details and upload credential documents such as registration certificate
from Council of Architecture, Provide AADHAR No., PAN CARD details. MMRDA will
verify certification details from Council of Architecture website.
B. Upload Documents
Upload your CAD design file, and submit for Process. Our Smart Rule engine validates your
design as per Construction rules for the selected area.
C. Get Result
Our Smart and Optimize process provides Immediate Validation results, and Validation Report
will be at your inbox.

4. 3. Working
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) website complies with
World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 level

8. E-TENDERING system
Electronic Tendering System is an end to end Tendering System which can be used and operated
through a Computer System connected to the internet. All the activities related to processing of
tenders are executed online starting from Tender Preparation to Award of Tenders.
The Bid Documents can be downloaded online, Bid response is to be prepared and signed online
(throughthe use of Digital Signature),paymentforBidsubmissionisto be done online (usingCredit
Cards,DebitCards,InternetBankingAccountsandCashCards) andtheTenderopeningisdone online.
To participate in the Tenders processed using the Electronic Tendering System, the Suppliers /
Contractors are required to
a. Valid User ID on the Main Portal of the Electronic Tendering Systemof MMRDA . The User ID is
validated after the Suppliers / Contractors enrol on the Electronic Tendering System. Enrolment
process requires submitting basic organization information including contact information along
with a valid email address.
Additionally, based on the requirements of individual Departments / Agencies processing their
Tenders using the Electronic Tendering System, the Suppliers / Contractors shall be requiredto
empanel themselves on the Sub – Portals assigned to the respective Department / Agency e.g.
Public Works Department, etc.
b. Valid Class – II / Class – III Digital Signature in the name of Authorized Representative of the
Organization for encryption of Bid Data and signing of online Bids.

9. 5. Our Work

There are more attendant and requirement is need to build a project we know that, we can
mix all language like C, HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and more. The web server combines the
results of the interpreted and executed PHP code, which may be any type of data, including
images, with the generated web page. PHP code may also be executed with a command-line
interface (CLI) and can be used to implement standalone graphical applications. Those

11. 6. Conclusion
The internship Program helped us to gain important knowledge on software industry, their
culture, work environment and all about BPAS software development.
On the whole, this internship was a useful experience. We have gained new knowledge, skills
and met many new people. We achieved several of our learning goals, however for some the
conditions did not permit. We got insight into professional practice. We learned the different
facets of working within a Government Organization.
The internship was also good to find out what our strengths and weaknesses are. This helped
us to define what skills and knowledge we have to improve in the coming time. It would be
better that the knowledge level of the course is sufficient to contribute fully to projects.
At last this internship has given us new insights and motivation to pursue a career in IT
research for masters.
