We are happy to provide this letter on behalf of this international applicant in order to
introduce InterExchange Career Training USA, a program that enables you to host an eligible
international intern or trainee at your company on a temporary basis.
InterExchange, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designated by the U.S. Department of State to
provide J-1 Visa sponsorship through the Exchange Visitor Program. Our Career Training USA
program, which is free to host employers, has enabled thousands of international students and
young professionals to intern or train with U.S. businesses for 1-18 months on the J-1 Visa, a
non-immigrant, cultural exchange visa.
With education, experience and insights that are often different from your U.S. employees,
international students and young professionals bring a variety of cross-cultural benefits and a
global perspective to your workplace. Enthusiastic about gaining career experience in the U.S.,
an international intern or trainee is also exceptionally eager to learn from you and to share a
new culture and another country’s business practices with your U.S. team.
Should you decide to offer an internship or training program to this international applicant, you
will both need to complete InterExchange’s online application for J-1 Visa Sponsorship. If both
you and the international applicant meet our program requirements and your proposed
program is approved, we will issue the government documentation your intern or trainee will
need to acquire the J-1 Visa and begin to intern or train legally in the U.S. with your company.
