SNDT Slim User Meet presentation by Ms. Mukta Atkekar
The SNDT Women's University Library implemented an automation system called SLIM to manage its operations across 3 campuses and huge collection. The implementation involved converting over 85,000 records into the ISO format and loading them into the SLIM software. Library staff then received training from the SLIM provider on how to use the new system. Since implementing SLIM, the library's acquisition, cataloging, circulation, and reference departments have benefited from improved efficiency and functionality. Library services have also enhanced with an online public access catalog, automated communications, and improved tracking of materials.

وأفادت المجموعة في بيان صحافي أن اطلاق هذه الحملة حول العالم كان من ضمن فعاليات المنتدى العالمي للتعليم والمهارات الذي انعقد برعاية الرئيس الأمريكي الأسبق بيل كلينتون جنبا إلى جنب مع الرئيسين الشريكين للحملة جيم هاغيمان-سناب الرئيس التنفيذي السابق لمؤسسة SAP، وماجد جعفر الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة نفط الهلال، علماً أن مؤسسة Varkey GEMS هي التي تتولى قيادة الحملة ومنظمة اليونسكو ومؤسسة دبي العطاء تحت إشراف المنتدى العالمي للتعليم والمهارات

The publication of Zain Group’s third sustainability report, entitled, “Transparency: The Key to a Wonderful World,” signifies our ongoing commitment to continuously engaging with our stakeholders in a transparent and consistent manner. The 2013 Sustainability Report communicates Zain’s principles of promoting inclusivity, connectivity and empowerment throughout its operating countries.
For this report, Zain Group adopted for its first time the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Reporting Guidelines, allowing for a report to be developed that more accurately represents the values of the organization, its core business of telecommunications, as well as those of its stakeholders, while at the same time aligning itself to global best practice. Zain 2012 Annual Report
The annual report summarizes Zain Group's performance in 2012. It discusses the challenges posed by the global economic outlook and increased competition. While financial indicators reflected these challenges, operational performance remained within expectations thanks to business plan flexibility. Key highlights included generating over $4.58 billion in revenue and $902 million in net income. The customer base grew 6% to over 42.7 million. The report discusses strategic partnerships and network investments, as well as operations in various countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Sudan and South Sudan.

The annual report summarizes Zain Group's performance in 2012. It discusses the challenges posed by the global economic outlook and increased competition. While financial indicators reflected these challenges, operational performance remained within expectations thanks to business plan flexibility. Key highlights included generating over $4.58 billion in revenue and $902 million in net income. The customer base grew 6% to over 42.7 million.
