This biography summarizes the rise and fall of motorcycle legend Indian Larry. He apprenticed under Big Daddy Roth and began building amazing custom bikes, winning numerous awards. At the peak of his popularity after winning a Discovery Channel competition three times, Larry tragically died in 2004 while performing his signature stunt of standing on a moving motorcycle, when the bike went out of control.

2. 1949 Larry Desmedt is born. Later he apprentices under “Big Daddy” Roth, a renown hot rod builder. Larry begins to struggle with drugs and alcohol and is eventually imprisoned for bank robbery. After prison Larry turns over a new leaf and decides to leave behind his past. Ed “Big Daddy” Roth

3. 1991 Larry opens up Gasoline Alley in Brooklyn, NY. Larry begins to make amazing custom bikes, attracting attention throughout the biker world. 2003 After winning award after award Larry is invited to take part in the Discovery Channel’s biker-build-off. Larry wins the competition and his fame skyrockets. Larry has never been more popular then now. He goes on to compete three times in this competition.

4. As Larry’s fame grew so did the demand for his appearances and stunts. Larry’s most famous trick was when he would stand atop a moving motorcycle and spread out his arms. On August 30, 2004, while performing his signature stunt on his personal chopper “grease monkey”, the bike went out of control, resulting in fatal head injuries.
