Musical internet hotspot, Indaba Music, and musical duo BlondFire
have collaborated to host a remix contest for BlondFire’s single
“Where the Kids Are.”

BlondFire is Los Angeles-based Indie Pop band comprised of siblings Bruce and Erica Driscoll. The
band’s cited musical influences include Antonio Carlos Jobim, Caetano Veloso, and Astrud
Gilberto.
The band’s musical style has been compared to that of other Indie Pop bands, The Cardigans and
Ivy.
Their debut EP as BlondFire was released in 2006 on iTunes. The remix contest song, Where the
Kids Are was released originally in November 2011 and received critical acclaim.
In February 2013, they released a new video for the song, and it has been used in recent ads for
the Honda Civic. Additionally, BlondFire’s music has been used in the films Besties and Get a Job;
on TV via ESPN’s Australian Open Tennis, The Client List, MTV’s Awkward and The Collection,
and in an ad for Ecco shoes.
