This document discusses a proposed Small Office Home Office Continuous Data Protection (SOHO CDP) software. The software would continuously back up and version data folders specified by the user. It would use a client-server architecture with a mini filter driver on the client side to capture file modifications and send copies to the server. The server would store versions of the files corresponding to each client. The software would also allow users to search for and retrieve different file versions through a web-based GUI. Potential constraints include storage volume size and a lack of protection for the server in the event of a crash. Future developments could include disaster recovery and incremental backup capabilities.
