- 3. •This year for my ILP I would like to create a documentary featuring a day in the life of Andover students. •This documentary will capture the experiences through the eyes of Andover students. •This video will engage the audience with music, and past videos of Andover. My Project… Project Idea Inspirati on •Two years ago my brothers and I got a GoPro Action Camera, which we use to capture action photos of that typical cameras cannot. •I enjoy using the GoPro and want to experiment with using it in a more creative way. •I enjoy and excel at making video montages.

Plan Of Action: During/After Completion of Project: •Be more open when videotaping to get the most out of the footage •Talk to the athletes and explain what I am doing, and what they will do ◦Chest mount while playing. ◦Under water videotaping •Download footage to computer •Edit video clips •Get Administration approval Planning Stage: •At the end of this project I will create a professional quality video to be shown to all students and staff •I have looked for different accessories to help me improve my videotaping Creation Stage: ◦I have talked to administration ◦Gathered all my materials for video recording/editing ◦Reviewed schedule of the different sports I need to record •I need to contact the coaches to find the best day to record
- 9. Community Benefits Who? The future Andover community will benefit from my project because they will have a visual keepsake that they can keep forever. In many years, administration is able to replay this same video documenting Andover’s school day in 2012-2013. How? In the future the Andover staff and faculty will be able to see how the school day of Andover would have been like in 2012

Estimated costs, materials, and resources: •If I need to purchase more accessories for my camera Potential problems: •Arriving too late to videotape the sporting events •Camera breaking •Not getting enough footage Possible solutions: •BE PROACTIVE •Be careful with the technology used •Use as much of the videos as possible Educational value: •This project will give me the opportunity to expand my knowledge of different software to edit videos

- 15. Resources... • I chose to go to Lasher on a typical day while there wasn’t anything outrageous going on • I taped at Andover, Lasher, Model, and in Downtown Detroit QuickTime™ and a Apple Intermediate Codec decompressor are needed to see this picture.

Community... •My imaging teacher (Peg) helped me find the creative side of my videography and inspired me to be open about new ways of capturing video. •The students in the district were able to wear the camera, be on footage, and give me their ideas on how I should edit each of the videos. Summary... • During my 1st semester individualized leadership project I had the idea of capturing a typical day of a Andover students life. • Videotaped boys swimming and diving • Went to Lasher to video tape the school as a whole • Charity Week- I videotaped the pancake breakfast, ice cream social, service project, and the cotton-candy/snow-cones.
