Shashank Mangal wants to pursue his dream of playing tennis professionally for 10 months with coaching, and then for the remaining 2 months he wants to meet and play tennis with his idol Rafael Nadal in Spain. He has a passion for tennis that developed from watching Nadal play at Wimbledon in 2007. He resigned from his job early so he could get 2 months of intensive tennis training, where he played 3 hours a day and experienced the deep satisfaction the sport brings him. He believes $1,500 would be enough funds to support 10 months of coaching in India and a 1-week trip to Spain to try meeting Nadal.

Yesss……
In Engineering – No time and No
scope of playing
In job – tennis court was built in
township after 18 months
Played in township for 2 months
at night without coach
Very skillful game – could not play
a single shot but still my
passion was enough to take me
to play every night

Used to work till 20 hrs and then
from 22 hrs to 2 hrs played
tennis

8. Resigned from job early so that I can
get some time to get training in
tennis before joining IIFT
I got 2 months before joining IIFT to
pursue my passion and I did
Joined the best coaching in ahmedabad
for 2 months and used to play
tennis 3 hrs everyday
Gave extra money for personal
coaching to grasp the game early
In these 2 months only – I realized
satisfaction and happiness most
important for anybody
I used to get that feeling after 3hrs of
playing tennis
My mood used to be cheerful and I
could work efficiently in other fields
Played a state level tournament too in
these 2 months in which I was out
in the 1st round but wanted to
experience the real tennis player in
me – awesome experience

Taking training from the best coaching institute in ahmedabad for 10
months
= Rs 2250 * 10

Purchasing good raquet
= Rs 10,000
I have my home in ahmedabad so no expenditure on staying
Other expenditure per month in ahmedabad = Rs 1000*10 = Rs 10,000
To and Fro flight expenditure to spain = Rs 47,500
Staying in Manacor for a week( Hometown of Rafel Nadal) including
food and staying expense = Rs 30,000
Total Expenditure = Rs 1,20,000
Suppose if the finance budget stretches then rest Rs 30,000 will act as
contingency fund
