IEEE and Crytek's VR First Initiative have formed a strategic partnership. The partnership was launched at GDC 2016 as a non-profit initiative to teach VR in schools and colleges. IEEE showed support for the initiative as a guest at the partner's meeting in Frankfurt, where they negotiated a partnership. With IEEE backing the program, Crytek's VR First approach now has a strong foundation, which could help standardize VR curriculum in schools and colleges in the future.

BigDataStack Connected Consumer Pilot Demo
BigDataStack will provide retailers with optimal insights into consumer preferences and increase the effectiveness of marketing strategies to improve the consumer shopping experience. Led by Worldline, a roadmap for a major Spanish food retailer has been defined, allowing them to offer predictive shopping lists, and tailored recommendations and promotions, improving consumers’ experiences.
Webinar takeaways
The Connected Consumer use case utilizes the BigDataStack environment to implement and offer a recommender system for the grocery market.
All of the data that are used to train the analytic algorithms of the use case are corporate data provided by one of the top food retailers companies in Spain.
An effective, aqueous, Phosporic acid based, carbonate scale remover. It will leave a deposit of Iron Phosphate on Mild Steel, which can then be painted or oiled to give even greater corrosion protection. It will also remove carbonate scale from Stainless Steel alloys and Copper alloys.

Call for Code is a multi-year program that calls on developers to create practical, effective, and high-quality applications based on one or more IBM Cloud services (for example, web, mobile, data, analytics, AI, IoT, or weather) or Red Hat platforms (including OpenShift) to build a solution that can have an immediate and lasting impact on humanitarian issues as open source projects. In this session you'll learn more about the solutions built to tackle natural hazards, climate change, and the pandemic. What sets Call for Code apart from other technology-for-good competitions is the commitment to deploy the winning solutions with the IBM Service Corps and to help teams build sustainable open source communities through The Linux Foundation. Join us at this talk to hear about the most recent winning projects, get an update on previous year's progress, and learn about how to contribute to two projects directly from the developers.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Connector Corner: Automate dynamic content and events by pushing a buttonDianaGray10
Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

IEEE and Crytek’s VR First Initiative Form a Partnership
This year at GDC 2016, Crytek’s VR first initiative was launched. It is a non-profit based initiative for
teaching in schools and colleges. This has started to gain some attention. It has formed partnership
initially with some companies and IEEE is also going into that list now. Institute of Electronics and
Electronics has also came in partnership with Crytek.
Frankfurt held launch partner’s meeting where IEEE showed its presence in form of a guest. After
some negotiation, IEEE and Crytek have formed a strategic partnership.VR first labs have their own

is ubiquitous in niche of graphic intensive processing and has surely proved to be a success story.

initiative has given a lot of push to next gen gaming engine popularly CRYENGINEV.
Crytek’s target audience being college and students in schools, surely they are working in right
direction. They have not only succeeded but also have made themselvesa legacy. As VR and AR are
