This document introduces Enrico Munari, a 21-year-old Italian student interested in innovation and its applications in business. He values curiosity and sharing. Some of his passions include sailing, tennis, skiing, automotive, photography and art. He was born in Venice, which holds a special place in his heart. He has also spent time studying in London and Salamanca. Enrico is currently studying at Bocconi University in Milan and is interested in attending IE Business School in Madrid for its international experience and practical business focus to further develop his skills and network.

2. WHO AM I?
• I am Enrico Munari, a 21 years old
student, Venetian by birth and Milanese
by adoption.
• Even if I was born in Italy, I strive to
forge an international vision (I have
attended an European high school and
now I am in the most dynamic and
international university that Italy
provides).
• I am very interested in innovation and
its possible uses in the economic field. I
like to move between different sectors
and apply innovative solutions not
strictly related to the sector in question.

3. VALUES AND OBJECTS
• I would describe myself as a curious and
motivated person; curiosity is the boost to take
the majority of my decisions.
• I firmly believe that sharing is fundamental in
every aspect of our life: by sharing it is possible
to grow on a personal level and at the same
time to help others.
• I never leave home without my watch: it is a
gift from my grandfather to whom I am very
attached, and it is indispensable for me during
the day. I hate wasting time.
• My Moleskine: I am a very organized person
and for this reason I need to write down every
detail in my old-style agenda.

4. PASSIONS AND SPORTS
• I love sport because I think that it can
be used as a vehicle of right values.
• I really love sailing, play tennis, and
also golf, but my absolute favourite is
skiing: I go to the mountains
whenever I can because one can find
balance and relax from the city life.
• Among my other passions are
included the automotive world (I am
a F1 fan), photography and also
visiting contemporary art museums.

5. VENICE

• Venice is the city where I was born; my
bond with Her will forever be
indissoluble.
• Walking in the middle of the night
around Venice seems to be suspended
in time: you can easily perceive the
city’s history.
• For those who love beauty, mystery
and uniqueness, this island can only
be unforgettable, and I do.

6. CITIES
London
London is one of the cities I am most fond of. Here I
studied English every summer from 2011 to 2016 during
the month of July. I love London because it is as if the
whole world is here: it offers endless possibilities and is
able to celebrate creativity.
Salamanca
Salamanca is exactly the opposite of London. I was in this
town for two years in a row to learn Spanish during high
school. The walls surround the elegant city center and
protect the city from chaos and stress. Inside there are
one of the most beautiful squares in Spain and one of the
oldest universities in the world.

7. MADRID

• I have been to Madrid three times in different
periods of my life: the first time I went with
my family in 2011. The second time was in
2015 and I was on a school trip, while the last
one was in October 2018: I went to see a
friend of mine who was in exchange.
• What I like the most about Madrid is that it
seems as if time has stopped: it is never too
late. The schedules are dilated or completely
shattered by a new temporal conception.

8. UNIVERSITÀ COMMERCIALE
LUIGI BOCCONI
• I decided to attend Bocconi University in 2013. I was
very young but I had clear ideas. From that moment I
did everything to get into this University.
• I found a very welcoming environment characterized by
healthy competition that always pushes you to give your
best. I am improving my abilities and competences, but
also developing my network, getting in touch with
people from all around Europe.
• In Bocconi I found wonderful people and true friends
with whom we have faced and overcome every difficulty
with a team approach.
• My favorite subject was Competitive Strategy. The most
interesting thing was to understand the economic
environment in which a company moves and the forces
that come into play. It will be the subject around which I
will develop my thesis on the Prosecco (wine) sector in
Italy.

9. WHY IE BUSINESS SCHOOL?
• I love Spain and Madrid. I am in love with Spanish
culture, traditions and history. I met these aspects during
high school where I studied Spanish language and culture
for 5 years.
• After having had many experiences abroad, albeit of
short duration, I think it is time to immerse myself in
another country different from my origin one.
• I think IE Business School will be the right place to
develop my skills, my abilities and my network. I am also
looking for a more practical approach than Italian
universities, and I am sure that IE Business School can
provide me this inclination to business and academic life.
• In IE, a European and International University, I am sure I
will find a varied and stimulating environment in which I
can recognize myself and that I can enrich in my turn.

10. WHAT’S NEXT?
• In the near future (this Summer) I
would like to do an internship in a large
company in Italy.
• After my graduation I want to
specialize attending a master degree
and I know IE is the best choice.
• At the beginning of my career I would
like to work for a consulting firm.
However in the future I would like to
create, once I have acquired the right
knowledge, my own company and my
own business.
