2. As a college graduate with a Bachelor in Marketing, I felt comfortable
following the common road: to start a career in a big, important
3. It was very clear: the company/industry had a corporate, safe career
plan for me. I just had to go with the flow: show to work, reach
company goals, practice some politics and the growth was a sure thing.

5. But something wasn’t right. I wanted to take a bigger role in my professional life. Corporate
was OK but I needed to make significant changes to the world. I had a lot of ideas that were
irrelevant to the corporate world. I wanted to be listened, but what was the cost in my career
plan?
6. When I started looking for something different, las Páginas Verdes opportunity came up. I regret
an offer at a couple of good martketing positions. The thing was that this new opportunity was too
different. Accepting this new career involved risks such as no safe career plan at a small
organization, I was totally new in the industry, a lower salary, not the same company benefits.
This isn’t something tought at schooll, it is not the path that I was tought to take! (I thought)
