The document describes an ID code management system that: 1. Issues unique identification codes (ID codes) for tobacco products, facilities, machines, and economic operators. 2. Establishes security protocols and communication rules for issuing ID codes to economic operators involved in tobacco production and distribution. 3. Has implemented a tax stamp management and control system in Slovakia that generates a unique 12-digit ID code for each tobacco product packaging unit and individual tax stamp. Over 1.1 billion tax stamps have been issued through this system.

We have implemented Tax Stamp Management and Control System generating unique ID Codes for tax
stamps for tobacco products
Unique ID represents
the 12 digit alpha-
numerical code, and
holds the information
about the each
individual product.
All tobacco producers and importers in Slovakia are integrated into the Tax Stamp Management
and Control System to order tax stamps with unique ID codes. Each Tax Stamp has an unique ID
Code and holds the information about each individual product.
TSMCS has been introduced in the Slovak Republic in January 2015. By the June of 2017 more than 1,45 billion
of TS have been printed by Slovak National Mint, of which over 1,1 billion have been used to label products.
