Dear Ms Mutiara Irfarinda,
I am pleased to inform you that your abstract, titled “Thailand in The Coming Southeast Asian
Economic, Social and Cultural Communities” has been accepted for oral presentation at the 12
th
International Conference on Thai Studies (ICTS12) at the University of Sydney, Australia. We
look forward to your attendance at the conference. If you require a visa to enter Australia, please
use this letter as evidence of the acceptance of your abstract.
The conference will be held from Tuesday 22 April 2014 through Thursday 24 April 2014. The
detailed schedule will not be set until closer to the time of the conference, but we expect that the
conference will commence at 08:30 am on Tuesday 22 April and will wrap up with an arts event
on the evening of Thursday 24 April.
All participants are requested to register online. The registration fee includes the conference
program, conference reception, lunches, and morning and afternoon teas, coffees and snacks for
the three-day conference. The Conference Dinner will take place on the evening of Wednesday
23 April at the spectacularly located semi-open air Waterfront Restaurant, very close to the
Sydney Harbour Bridge and with one of the city’s best views of the Sydney Opera House. The
price includes a sumptuous meal, entertainment and unlimited wines, beers and soft drinks from
7pm to 11pm.
Registration
The “Super Earlybird” registration deadline is 30 November 2013: The full conference package
(the conference program, conference reception, lunches, morning and afternoon teas, coffees
and snacks, and ticket for conference dinner at the Waterfront Restaurant) is $398 ($248
Student). The basic conference package that excludes the conference dinner is $300 ($150
Student).

Earlybird registration is available between 1 December 2013 and 31 January 2014. The full
conference package between these dates is $448 ($298 student), and the basic conference
package is $400 ($200 Student).
After 31 January 2014, registration fees will increase to $498 ($348 Student) for the full
conference package and $400 ($250 Student) for the basic conference package. Conference
registration and purchase of the Conference Package can be done through the conference
website registration page.
Receipts will be marked “Full 12th International Conference on Thai Studies package” or “Basic
12th International Conference on Thai Studies package”.
Registration fees are non-refundable.
Accommodation and travel to Sydney
We recommend that you reserve accommodation well ahead of time in order to get the best
rates. Similarly, and particularly for those planning to use low-cost airlines, we recommend that
you book well ahead of time. We have put together information to help you keep costs down and
to select travel and accommodation options best suited to your budget.
Publication Opportunities
Copies of those presented papers delivered to us by 31 March will be offered free-of-charge to
conference members on a password- protected site. Papers will only be available if authorised by
individual authors.
