The student quality circle from Little Angels' School has started a project called "Students Uniting Against Violence" to raise awareness about violence against women and girls in Nepal. They identified harassment and violence against girls in slum areas as a problem and selected Manohara slum in Bhaktapur as their target area. Their plan is to collect donations, provide sanitary and hygiene materials to girls aged 12-16, educate them about self-defense, and conduct awareness campaigns on health, hygiene, gender issues, and violence prevention through activities like picture presentations and poster displays. They expect challenges due to conservative attitudes but hope these small interventions can help.
