2. Pembelahan Sel Mitosis dan
Meiosis
Sel yang berada di dalam tubuh dari makhluk hidup dipastikan
akan melakukan aktivitas berupa pembelahan. Ada dua cara pembelahan
yang dilakukan oleh sel. Dua pembelahan itu dilakukan dengan sebutan
mitosis dan meiosis.
Pembelahan sel ini sangat penting bagi keberlangsungan makhluk hidup
karena beberapa aktivitas di dalam tubuh makhluk hidup ditentukan oleh
pembelahan ini. Misalnya adalah membantu proses reproduksi makhluk
hidup dan juga bisa memperbaiki atau mengganti jaringan di dalam tubuh
makhluk yang sudah rusak.

3. Pembelahan
Mitosis
Pembelahan mitosis adalah peristiwa pembelahan sel yang
menghasilkan dua sel anak dengan jumlah kromosom sama seperti sel
induknya. Pembelahan mitosis hanya terjadi pada sel eukariotik. Hal ini
dikarenakan sel prokariotik tidak memiliki nukleus (inti sel), membran inti
sel, dan mitokondria, sedangkan mitosis memerlukan organel-organel
tersebut.
Pembelahan mitosis berfungsi untuk pertumbuhan sel tubuh, mengganti
sel-sel tubuh yang rusak (regenerasi), dan mempertahankan jumlah
kromosom.

4. Perbedaan
Pembelahan Mitosis
dan Meiosis
● Mitosis menghasilkan sel anak yang
dapat membelah lagi, sedangkan meiosis
tidak dapat membelah lagi hingga
fertilisasi.
● Pembelahan mitosis menghasilkan sel
anakan yang sama dengan sel induk,
sementara meiosis menghasilkan sel
anakan yang berbeda dengan induk

5. Tahapan/Fase

Mitosis
Terdapat empat tahap atau fase pembelahan mitosis, yaitu
profase, metafase, anafase, dan telofase.
Ada yang namanya fase pendahuluan atau interfase.
Interfase ini juga sering disebut dengan persiapan
pembelahan.

6. Interfase
Pada interfase, terjadi proses persiapan
dan penimbunan energi oleh sel untuk
melakukan pembelahan. Selama
interfase, inti sel (nukleus) dan anak inti
sel (nukleolus) tampak terlihat jelas.
Namun, kromosompadasel tidak terlihat
karena masih dalam bentuk kromatin,
yaitu benang-benang halus yang
tersusun atas molekul DNA, RNA, dan protein.

7. Tahap Interfase
Tahap interfase terbagi menjadi tiga, yaitu fase G1
(gap pertama), fase S (sintesis), dan fase G2 (gap kedua).
- Fase G1 disebut juga dengan fase pertumbuhan dan perkembangan sel. Hal
ini ditandai dengan berkembangnya sitoplasma (cairan sel), organel sel, serta
sintesis bahan-bahan yang akan digunakan untuk fase berikutnya, yaitu fase S.
- Pada fase S, terjadi replikasi atau duplikasi DNA sebagai materi genetik yang
akan diturunkan kepada sel anak, sehingga nantinya akan dihasilkan dua
salinan DNA.
- Fase terakhir, yaitu fase G2, replikasi DNA telah selesai.
Terjadi peningkatan sintesis protein sebagai tahap akhir persiapan
sel untuk melakukan pembelahan.

8. Profase
Pada awal profase, sentrosom mengalami replikasi,
sehingga menghasilkan dua sentrosom. Kemudian,
setiap sentrosom akan bergerak ke kutub-kutub inti
sel yang letaknya berlawanan.
Di tahap ini juga, benang-benang kromatid mulai
mengalami penebalan yang kemudian membentuk
kromosom. Nah, kromosom ini terdiri dari dua
kromatid identik yang terikat pada sentromer (kepala
kromosom). Setiap sentromer memiliki dua
kinetokor yang merupakan formasi protein dan
menjadi tempat melekatnya benang-benang
spindel nantinya.

9. Metafase
Pada tahap ini, nukleus dan membran inti sel
sudah tidak terlihat. Masing-masing kinetokor
pada sentromer dihubungkan ke satu sentrosom
oleh benang-benang spindel. Kemudian,
pasangan kromatid bergerak ke bagian tengah inti
sel (bidang ekuator) dan membentuk lempeng
metafase.
Posisi kromosom yang terletak pada bagian
tengah inti sel ini membuat jumlah kromosom
dapat dihitung dengan tepat dan bentuk
kromosom juga dapat
diamati dengan jelas.

10. Tahap anafase ditandai dengan
pemisahan kromatid dari bagian
sentromer yang kemudian
membentuk kromosom baru.
Masing-masing kromosom ditarik oleh
benang-benang spindel menuju kutub
yang berlawanan. Jumlah kromosom
yang menuju ke kutub yang satu akan
sama dengan jumlah kromosom yang
menuju ke kutub lainnya.
Anafase

11. Telofase
kita sudah masuk ke tahap akhir pembelahan
mitosis, yaitu tahap telofase. Pada tahap ini,
kromosom telah sampai di kutubnya masing-
masing.
Benang-benang spindel mulai menghilang dan
membran inti sel juga mulai terbentuk di antara
dua kelompok kromosom yang terpisah.
Kromosom semakin lama akan menipis dan
berubah menjadi benang-benang kromatin
kembali.
