Engage  (7 mins) ▪  T initiates the conversation   Talking about her new clothes and getting Ss to participate by asking questions ▪  Mind-mapping activity :  going shopping (pair work)  -activates Ss’ background knowledge of the topic
Main activities  (33~35 mins) ▪  Ss listen to the story : # 1 listening  (10 mins) T gives some listening task (questions)  After listening Ss talk about what they listened  to in groups of 3~4  (group work)   Questions to ask -where does the conversation take place? -who is speaking?  -what is their relationship? -what happen to them? -how does the boy feel at the end of the story?   ▪   Ss and T watch the video clip and find the answers                                                      
▪  Problem solving activity (10 mins) :   Ss brain storm about how they solve this problem.  (group work)   ▪  Each group presents their ideas     ▪  Ss listen to the next story: #2 listening (10 mins) T gives some questions and Ss talk about it in group of 3~4   Questions would be  -How is the problem solved? -What was the girl doing? -How do they feel now?  
▪  Focus-on-form (bottom-up approach – 3~5 mins)   Fill-in-the blanks  -questions are designed to help Ss understand what is the main event, who are the  speakers, and how the speaker is feeling in a conversation.  -in this story the boy’s sister is missing ->Ss will talk about how to find his sister -2 nd  story is more serious then the 1 st  story  -Ss can compare their ideas and the following story (there is not one right answer)   -Ss listen to the stories and fill in the blanks
Wrap-up   (5 min) ▪  Ss and T talk about today’s lesson Homework Assignment: Personalizing activity   What would you do if you were lost in a shopping mall? What would you do if you lost your son or daughter in a shopping mall? writing on the class blog -Ss think about what they would do if they were in the situation from the story -Half the class will be a lost child and the other half will be a parent looking for  their lost child
