Tizen is an open source operating system focused on phones and in-vehicle infotainment systems that is the successor to MeeGo. Currently, the only devices are developer phones and testing must be done using emulators. However, one reason developers may be interested is that Tizen apps are built as web apps, allowing them to be tested using a web simulator without requiring a actual device.
