This document outlines a presentation about options for hybrid worship given to the Presbytery of Plains and Peaks. The presentation discusses the journey of pastoral leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, from initial crisis response to embracing new opportunities. It then examines post-pandemic options for communal life, including in-person only, remote only, streaming, separate in-person and remote services, and fully hybrid worship. The presenter discusses important questions around congregational desires, opportunities, challenges, and capacity. Finally, the presentation explores principles for reimagining worship rather than just replicating previous models, including decentering physical place, inviting new leaders, engaging the entire community, and ensuring sufficient technology.
An Expanded and Generous Table: Is Hybrid Worship in Your Future?
While there is no single, best way for people to gather for worship, as the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel begins to shine and the conversation about “going back” begins in earnest, the question for many congregations is this, “Once online worship is no longer the only option for you and your congregation, will you all have the willingness, energy, and capacity to birth, curate, nurture, and sustain a long-term digital space?” or more succinctly put, “What now?”
The decisions that are made about worship in the coming months must not be taken lightly but must be approached with communal discernment, reflective honesty, and faithful practicality. For those with inklings and dreams about hybrid worship, it is my hope that the questions I offer will help you and your leadership to understand different options, assess congregational willingness, energy, and capacity, and make faithful choices that will best equip you for the future.

Area of Specialization
My project plans are specialize in doing servanthood ministry in the 21st Century, plant a New Missional outreach servanthood Ministry. The Core of the Vision… God's instructions to me were to... "Change the communities by demonstrating love to those hard to reach, the forgotten, the hurting, and the remnants. Those are the people in the communities that do not know the story of the loving Savior and have not heard the word, or read the Bible. As a leader, I am called to be a social minister; to combine the social needs with teaching and loving God’s people-love in action. The words of the Lord said, “And if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me" (John 12:32)

Rationale for Specialization
I followed God's instructions and set up the foundation, pulling together other organizational leaders who were given visions by God for the communities. Having a background in business education, and invaluable life experiences, has prepared me for the mantle of leadership-"Stepping into the Vision." I knew the first thing, was to get a plan of action in place, then execute the plan, and keep prayer at the forefront while it is being done. Church planting is not man’s doing, but God.
Specific Goals and Outcomes Desired
The goal of the Servanthood ministry plan is to work with the local “churches, foundations and anchors” to develop and launch a successful models that can be duplicated and modified to accommodate cultural diversity and regional challenges. Developing a world vision balanced and supported by local churches that will fulfill their missionary responsibilities while caring for their congregations and communities
Our aim is to change hearts and minds sets, to impact the lives of men and women who are bound by addictions of any kind; therefore after our research, we will collaborated with churches, foundations and anchors other outreach organizations determine and define a clearer and precise goal for the servanthood ministry by developing a community effort to accomplish certain outlined programs that will help build and changed lives for the better, by introducing them to the kingdom lifestyle. This program representsa change to how future housing and other needs can be addressed while spreading kingdom influence within the community. There will be surveys taken to evaluate the effectiveness of the program to ensure, that we are on target reaching the forgotten and perform the se.

Virtual Talk with Author & Pastor Bruce Reyes-Chow on Everyday Kindness on 03/22/2022.
Meet the author of In Defense of Kindness, Pastor Bruce Reyes-Chow!
These days we view kindness as an inert act based on the absence of being a jerk, or we see it as heroic and herculean, beyond the reach and capability of mere mortals. But what if kindness was a practice we could each choose, every day, as a way to experience community and wholeness in new, life-giving, world-changing ways?
Reyes-Chow shows how being kind (which is different than being nice) has the power to transform our relationships in all arenas of our life – from the internet to the public square, from those closest to us to those we find it hardest to be kind to, from justice work on the streets to meetings in the boardroom, and from the line at the coffee shop to the line for school drop-off.
Defense of Kindness will jumpstart your heart and inspire you to practice kindness as a daily discipline, grounded in the idea that each person is created and complex and worthy of dignity and respect. Join the kindness movement and help heal the world!
This author talk is inspired by this year’s Silicon Valley Reads’ themes of Kindness, Resilience, and Hope.

Workshop Slides: OFFERTORY LABORATORY: Offering is not and should not be just about how best to get the money into the plate. Without valuing one more than the other, we must take seriously the fullness of what we offer back to God in our individual and communal time, talents AND treasures. This focus must not just be in words, but in the rituals and practices that we engage in during worship. In this workshop, we will actually workshop a few models for the offering moment in worship. We will roll-play a few ideas and then see what bubbles up. Bruce will bring a few ideas collected from his experience leading worship as well as from the larger online community with whom he interacts, but you are also invited to bring ideas that you have always wanted to try . . . and we'll try it! Please be prepared to move, fail, discover, reflect, then do it all over again.

ABSTRACT: Although a significant amount of literature exists on Morocco's migration policies and their
successes and failures since their implementation in 2014, there is limited research on the integration of subSaharan African children into schools. This paperis part of a Ph.D. research project that aims to fill this gap. It
reports the main findings of a study conducted with migrant children enrolled in two public schools in Rabat,
Morocco, exploring how integration is defined by the children themselves and identifying the obstacles that they
have encountered thus far. The following paper uses an inductive approach and primarily focuses on the
relationships of children with their teachers and peers as a key aspect of integration for students with a migration
background. The study has led to several crucial findings. It emphasizes the significance of speaking Colloquial
Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and being part of a community for effective integration. Moreover, it reveals that the
use of Modern Standard Arabic as the language of instruction in schools is a source of frustration for students,
indicating the need for language policy reform. The study underlines the importanceof considering the
children‟s agency when being integrated into mainstream public schools.

The Challenges of Good Governance and Project Implementation in Nigeria: A Re...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT : This study reveals that systemic corruption and other factors including poor leadership,
leadership recruitment processes, ethnic and regional politics, tribalism and mediocrity, poor planning, and
variation of project design have been the causative factors that undermine projects implementation in postindependence African states, particularly in Nigeria. The study, thus, argued that successive governments of
African states, using Nigeria as a case study, have been deeply engrossed in this obnoxious practice that has
undermined infrastructure sector development as well as enthroned impoverishment and mass poverty in these
African countries. This study, therefore, is posed to examine the similarities in causative factors, effects and
consequences of corruption and how it affects governance, projects implementation and national growth. To
achieve this, the study adopted historical research design which is qualitative and explorative in nature. The
study among others suggests that the governments of developing countries should shun corruption and other
forms of obnoxious practices in order to operate effective and efficient systems that promote good governance
and ensure there is adequate projects implementation which are the attributes of a responsible government and
good leadership. Policy makers should also prioritize policy objectives and competence to ensure that policies
are fully implemented within stipulated time frame.

Exploring Factors Affecting the Success of TVET-Industry Partnership: A Case ...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study was to explore factors affecting the success of TVET-industry
partnerships. A case study design of the qualitative research method was used to achieve this objective. For the
study, one polytechnic college of Oromia regional state, and two industries were purposively selected. From the
sample polytechnic college and industries, a total of 17 sample respondents were selected. Out of 17
respondents, 10 respondents were selected using the snowball sampling method, and the rest 7 respondents were
selected using the purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data were collected through an in-depth
interview and document analysis. The data were analyzed using thematic approaches. The findings revealed that
TVET-industry partnerships were found weak. Lack of key stakeholder‟s awareness shortage of improved
training equipment and machines in polytechnic colleges, absence of trainee health insurance policy, lack of
incentive mechanisms for private industries, lack of employer industries involvement in designing and
developing occupational standards, and preparation of curriculum were some of the impediments of TVETindustry partnership. Based on the findings it was recommended that the Oromia TVET bureau in collaboration
with other relevant concerned regional authorities and TVET colleges, set new strategies for creating strong
awareness for industries, companies, and other relevant stakeholders on the purpose and advantages of
implementing successful TVET-industry partnership. Finally, the Oromia regional government in collaboration
with the TVET bureau needs to create policy-supported incentive strategies such as giving occasional privileges
of duty-free import, tax reduction, and regional government recognition awards based on the level of partnership
contribution to TVET institutions in promoting TVET-industry partnership.

Non-Financial Information and Firm Risk Non-Financial Information and Firm RiskAJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT: This research aims to examine how ESG disclosure and risk disclosure affect the total risk of
companies. Using cross section data from 355 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, data regarding
ESG disclosure and risk was collected. In this research, ESG and risk disclosures are measured based on content
analysis using GRI 4 guidelines for ESG disclosures and COSO ERM for risk disclosures. Using multiple
regression, it is concluded that only risk disclosure can reduce the company's total risk, while ESG disclosure
cannot affect the company's total risk. This shows that only risk disclosure is relevant in determining a
company's total risk.

7. I GOT THIS!
Immediate action!
Deep care and concern for the
people we serve.
Trying any and all things
whether or not folks asked for
them or not.
Grace, patience, and
understanding abound.
8. DEAR GOD
We overfunction.
Get overextended.
Feel overwhelm.
Try not to panic.
We Crash.

9. DREAMING
Deeply embrace this time as a

Reflection on how you have
modeled adaptive leadership
and practices.
Begin to reimagine and dream
about the future.
12. “Once online worship is no longer the
only option for you and your
congregation, will you all have the
willingness, energy, and capacity to
birth, curate, nurture, and sustain a
long-term digital space?”
or more succinctly put, “What now?”
13. ASSUMPTIONS
How congregations meet for
committee meetings and other
small gatherings will be forever
changed, but the desire for
worship to return to “what it was
before” is strong.
“Church” is more than worship,
but worship is still central to
most congregations.
14. ASSUMPTIONS
Worship is not a competition,
numbers are only a
measurement, and engagement
will be evaluated differently in
every space.
There is a spectrum of options,
context matters, and leadership
must assess and translate for
their particular spaces.
15. ASSUMPTIONS
“Hybrid Worship” requires much
more energy and resources than
many congregations have, so
there may be more effective
options than hybrid worship for
these congregations.
17. IN-PERSON ONLY
What most churches
did before the
pandemic, only
meeting in person at a
geographic location.
Why Yes?
“We get to see one
another
face-to-face again!”
Why Not?
“Because I do not
live in the area, I
won’t be able to
worship with you
anymore.”
18. REMOTE ONLY
Worship on Zoom,
Meet, etc.: a remote,
interactive, and
in-the-moment online
worship experience.
Why Yes?
“Yes, my kids, my
mother, and I can
still worship
together.”
Why Not?
“It’s been hard not
to see people every
Sunday and I will
miss that.”
19. TWO SERVICES
Two completely
separate services,
each able to focus
on and leverage its
own unique setting.
Why Yes?
“We already do
both services really
well, so this will give
us a chance to
reach more people.”
Why Not?
“But I want to be
able to get to know
everyone.”
20. STREAMING
Sanctuary centered
where remote
participants watch
others worship. Some
online interaction.
Why Yes?
“Wow, so many
more people are
watching.” and “I get
to watch worship
whenever I want to.”
Why Not?
“I miss being able to
interact with
everyone else at
worship.”
21. HYBRID
In-person or remote,
a service where
people have
essentially the same
worship experience.
Why Yes?
“We are all still
around the same
table!”
Why Not?
“Whoa, this is a ton
of work.” “How will
we create a space
where everyone has
essentially the
same experience?
33. REIMAGINING OVER
REPLICATION
Take advantage of
the platform to
enhance worship.
Question?
If you changed
sanctuary seating from
pews to chairs what
would change?
How does your space
impact how you
worship in person or
online?
34. REIMAGINED
● What is central and what is
not: communion, offering...
● Simplified bulletin.
● Increased use of visual and
video content.
● Increased screen use (BIG)
● Reconfigure physical space.
● Think DJ station and curator.
35. DECENTERING OF
GEOGRAPHIC PLACE
Place is defined by
theological, cultural
expression and
belief.
Question?
How do you talk about
the “space” in which
you gather? Do you
infer that digital space
is not as “real” as the
physical one or simply
another place where
you happen to gather
in community?
36. DECENTERED
● Resist desire and inertia to
center on physical location.
● Worship leadership should
come from various locations.
● Language: “space,” land
acknowledgement, local
flavor, global reach.
37. INVITATION TO
LEADERSHIP
Leadership pool
opens up when
boundaries are let
go.
Question?
Are there recent grads
or relocated seniors
who would be asked
to be part of
leadership if they were
still geographically
connected?
38. INVITED
● Value voices of remote and
new voices.
● Engage what it means to be a
“member” if remote.
● Not just attenders and
givers, but participants it the
full life of the community.
● Expand teams: Tech
Deacons, onsite, etc.
39. ENGAGEMENT OF
THE COMMUNITY
Connect by
theology and/or
geography creating
community.
Question
Can you create
enough community
connection points
where having
someone solely
in-person will cause
pause because some
may be left out.
40. ENGAGED
● Create and support such a
lived community so that
when you do gather
in-person, people have no
choice but to remember
those who are gathering
online.
41. ENGAGE
● Honor affinities: lifestages,
curiosities, and locations
● Curate shared spaces.
● Create intimate interactions.
● Create opportunities of for
casual interactions.
42. TECHNOLOGICAL
CAPACITY
Determine realistic
ability to handle the
technological load.
Question?
More than zoom, do
you have the staffing
or lay capacity to
handle streaming,
video, Customer
Relations Management
(CRM), and other tech
needs?
