Humix community 2017 kickoff
Humix is an IoT-based robot middleware that plays the role of a bridge between robot hardware, AI services, and smart devices. It maintains robot stateful context and provides a micro-service architecture for robot capabilities. In 2016, Humix developed modules for facial recognition, a voice assistant using Watson, and kiosks using Raspberry Pi and LCD screens. Going forward, Humix will focus on integrating widely-used robot frameworks like ROS and Johnny Five, improving the development experience with tools like setup wizards and logging, and collaborating with the community to support more use cases.
