The 2014–2015 President of the Chicago Bar Association,
Dan Cotter (JD ’95) (pictured at far left), is Vice
President, General Counsel, and Secretary for Fidelity Life
Association. He has served on The John Marshall Law
School Alumni Association Board of Directors and Board
of Visitors and is an adjunct professor at the law school.

Howard Ankin (JD ’93) (pictured above right), manages his Chicago law firm of more than 50 people, concentrating
in worker’s compensation and personal injury law. He was selected as a 2015 Super Lawyer. A third-generation
attorney, his grandfather graduated from John Marshall in 1940. He also serves on The John Marshall Law School
Alumni Association Board of Directors.
