HOW TO USE
PART 1 OF 2

Trello is a tool that
helps you organize
your plans, projects,
to-do lists

and many other
tasks, into boards
that you can easily

view in a glance.
It also allows you to
collaborate and see

the changes and
progress of the tasks
and access it anywhere.

Open a browser on
your desktop

Let’s use Google
Chrome for this tutorial

In the address bar,
type ‘trello.com’

Then press ‘Enter’ on
your keyboard

You’ll see the
homepage

Click ‘Sign Up’

Type in your name

Your Email

Then your password

Click ‘Create New
Account’

It leads you to this page

Asking to confirm your
email, click it

Click VerifyAddress

Going back to your board

Click ‘Welcome Board’
to get an overview

Or click ‘Create new
board’to start

Let’s try
something fun!

Type here a title
for your board

Then click Create

This is your new board
with the title

In the list header, type a
title for your list

See this example

Then click ‘Save’

Aspace for another list is
created

Do the same process as
you did on the first

Now,let’s add a card by
clicking here

Acard willbe the content
of your list

Type in an item that
has to be on the list

Then click ‘Add’

Just keep adding cards
on your list

Until the list is complete

Proceed to make the
second list and so on

Just a recap, before we
go into further details

And don’t worryif
your cards are in
wrongorder

Because you can
still change their
sequence

Click on a card that
you wantto move

Drag it to the area where
you wantit moved

Here’s
the card
that has
been
moved

Make another list to
separate cards/tasks
that has been done

An example is a
‘Done’list

So you can move
whatevertask is finished

You can also move
the wholelist and
change its position

Just click the list header
and drag to another
position

To change the board
name click on it

Type the new name here

Then click Rename

Here’s your new board
name

If you wantto star your
board, click here

So that whenyou click
this Boards button…

You’ll see that board
listed in Starred Boards

This willmake it easier
to find later on

Next, is Privacy Setting

Choose from
these three
options:
Private,
Organization
orPublic

Let’s go back to the lists
and cards

and check the editing
options

Click the drop down
menu button on the list
header

Here are the actions you
can do to your list

1st list action: Click
‘Add card’

The card automatically
appears on top

Click here to see your
options

Click Position

Click here to select
position

Click the position
number you want

members and labels later

2nd list action: Click
‘Copy List’

Edit the ‘Name’

Click ‘Create list’

Aduplicate list withnew
title willbe created

Remove the cards that
should not be on this list

By clicking on the pen icon

Then click ‘Archive’

3rd list action: Click
‘Move List’

Click ‘Position’

Choose a position

Click ‘Move’

Your list in position 2 is
moved to position 3

4th list action: Click
‘Subscribe’

Once you’re subscribed,
you’ll see this icon

And you’ll get
notifications about the
list for any changes

‘Move all cards in this list’

Choose the list whereto
move the cards

Now,cards from the 3rd
list weremoved to the
2nd list

‘Archive all cards in this
list’

Read the reminder

Click ‘Archive All’

Here, all cards were
removed

To retrieve the archived
card, click ‘Show Menu’

Click ‘More’

Click ‘Archived Items’

Scroll downand choose
an item you wantto
retrieve

Click ‘Send to Board’

Check the list and you
can see the retrieved
card

By the way, you can
delete an archived item
here

7th list action:Archive
this list

The list has been
removed

To retrieve the list click
‘Show Menu’

Click ‘More’

Click ‘Archived Items’

Click ‘Switchto Lists’

Click ‘Send to Board’

And your list is back

Let’s go to editing the
cards

There are 2 ways to edit
a card

First is by
clicking
on a card

You’ll see the back card

Where you can change
the name of the card

Move the card to any
board, list or position

Add or edit a description

Description added,
click ‘Save’

Add a comment

Click ‘Comment’

Click this to attach a file

Choose from whereyou
wantto get the file

Let’s choose computer

Choose a file name

Click ‘Open’

The image appears both
on cover and attachment

Remove cover image by
clicking ‘Remove Cover’

Mention a member

We’ll do this whenwego
to “Menu’

Add an ‘Emoji’

Choose an ‘Emoji’

Click ‘Comment’

Your emoji is here

Click here to add a card
in the comment

After adding a card, a
link willappear in the
comment

Click ‘Comment’

Here’s your added card

Let’s check the card

Close the back card first

This is the cover photo

Remember this willnot
appear here if

you remove the cover at
the back of the card

This refers to the description

This refers to 3 comments

This refers to 1 attachment

Going back to the back
of the card

Click ‘Checklist’

Type in a title or leave as is

Click ‘Add’

Checklist appears here

Add an item to the
checklist

You can tick here later
whenthey are done

Click ‘Add’

Click ‘Due date’

Pick a date and time

Click ‘Save’

Due date appears on top

Let’s check again the
card

Close the back card
and go to the main card

You’ll see the checklist with
2 items

Which gets updated once
you checked an item

Color changes into green
once the wholechecklist
is completed

You’ll also see the due date

The color is yellow if you
are closer to the due date

And turns red when
it is past due

Let’s discuss the
second wayto edit a
card

Hover the cursor on a
card and click the pen
icon

Here you can edit the
content of the card

Click ‘Edit Labels’

And you’ll see these
colored bars

Click on a pen icon

Type in a phrase for label

Then pick a color

Click ‘Save’

Named label is now
ready for use

You can now assign this
label on related cards

To apply it on the current
card you are using

Just click on the label

Acheck mark will
appear on the label

And a mark on the card,
same color as the label

Click ‘Save’

You can use more than 1
label on a card

When all these colors are
used up on other cards

And you still need
more colors

Then click ‘Create a
new label’

Type in a label name

Pick a new color

Click ‘Create’

Click ‘Save’

To remove a label

Just click on the
corresponding colored tab

Then the colored mark
and the check mark will
be removed

To delete a label, click
the pen icon

Click ‘Delete’

Take note of the warning

Then click ‘Delete’

To ‘Change due date’

Choose the
date
and time

Click ‘Save’

Due date appears here

Click ‘Enable
the Calendar

button appear here

Click to open the
calendar

See the scheduled card

Click here to view
previous and next
schedules

Click here to change the
viewingmode

Click here to close the
calendar

To remove the card,
Click ‘Archive’
