How to use Shareist for content marketing and social sharing

In your browser, type in
“www.shareist.com”

Shareist is a publishing platform
which brings notebooks online.

It is a tool to capture ideas,

find interesting stuff you
online,

and keep it either private or
share it with others online.

In Shareist, content is
broken up into projects.

Projects are created to
segment your activity

and use advanced features
like creating pages,

for publishing to blogs,
newsletters and ebooks,

and collaborating with a
team.

Choose a name for your
project.

Enter keywords that describe
the project content.

Click “Create project now”.

Success! You can now see
your project name

in the Shareist project
dashboard.

Here, you can access all
your Shareist projects.

Click “Manage connections”
under “Connect” menu

so that you can connect up
social networks,

and email service
providers that you can use

Under “Social”, click
“Add new Facebook page”.

Click “OK” so Shareist can
manage your Pages and Groups.

Select which Facebook
page/s you want to use.

Now you can see the default
timeslot for your Facebook page.

Add your other online
accounts

that you want to be managed
by Shareist.

From the dashboard, scroll down
to see the Team Activity menu

where you can add or manage
collaborators to your project.

Add or edit notes visible to your
team

There are 3 areas of
Shareist:

1. Research, 2. Social, and
3. Publish.

In Research, you capture ideas
that you want to use for content.

To capture ideas, click on the
“Inbox” menu.

Click the “Capture to Inbox”
button.

Click “Add to Inbox” to capture
contents immediately.

Enter content, such as text,
links, video URLs in the box.

You can also drop an image or
select it from your computer.

You can now share it to your
online accounts.

This is the second part of
Shareist which is Social.

Click “Quick share”.

Select which account you
want to share.

Click on the button down of
your selection.

You may click “Share now” or
just

click on the Default checkbox
under Time slots

to make it run on default
schedule.

Click on the “Share” button.

Close the pop-up. One post
has been scheduled.

Click on the “Social” tab.

Then click “Scheduled”

to see your scheduled post.

The third part of Shareist is
Publishing.

Click on the “Publish” tab.

The page interface is where
you can add pages

and edit them just like blog
posts.

You can also create pages
starting with a piece of content

by clicking on the “Inbox” tab.

While you can share this
content out to

your social media channels,

You can also use this content
to create bigger content like

white posts, email newsletters,
even PDFs and ebooks.

Click on the checkbox.

Click “Actions”. Say, I want
to write about this post.

Click “Add to a page”.

A pop-up appears so you can
input page details.

Enter a new page title.

Click “Add New Page”.

Click “Edit this page” to edit
before publishing.

Here we are in the page
builder,

ready to create this content.

Click on the “+” sign.

You can add more content on
your page.

For instance, a title.

Click, “Save & Close”

after adding a title or any
content.

You can see another “+” sign
at the bottom of the page.

You may also click on the
“Content” tab

to get content from other
sources.

When your page is done, you
can now click “Publish”.

Click on the “+” sign to see the
details of the published post.

Click “View published
post on Wordpress”

to see how the Wordpress
blog post looks.

You may choose to share the
page to other accounts.

Under ”Actions”, click on the
“Share” icon.

It’s the same interface that
we have seen before.

You can also export this
content by clicking “Tools”,

then click “Export/ebook”.

This will be used in places
that Shareist don’t

have a connection to like
Aweber or

other blog platforms that
aren’t supported yet.

You can export this
content as a PDF file.

You can also export this
content as an HTML file,

a Mobi, Plain Text or
Markdown file.

Click on the “Calendar” tab.

Then click on the current
month.

This gives you an overall
view of all activities

that you get going on in
Shareist.

Invite collaborators or team
members to help you

in your content marketing
strategy.

Click “Add new
collaborator”.

Select the contributor’s role
such as a “Contributor”.

You can add a message which
is optional.

The invitation was sent
successfully.

Communicate with your team by
clicking on the “Tools” tab.

Fill in a topic and your
message.

Click “Post now” to send your
message directly to your team.

Anyone on your team can
now respond to this message.

Click on the home icon to go
back to the project dashboard.

That’s the basic overview of
Shareist.
